I hope they're for your Provari.

:D:D Ya, I read the stuff but figured I'd give them a try. I don't really need any more mAh anyway, I change out often.
But I'm dying to buy something new !!

Honestly I'll tell you a secret .... Shhhhhh

I don't really like IMR batteries anyway. (In the 18650 size only)
I have one woodvil thats got enough room for the Black AW 2200 mAh button top protected.
My first run Grand (only grand) has plenty of room for that one as well.

So I keep the black batts in those two and only use the 1600 mAh IMR in my other two woodvils which are quite a bit shorter in the batt compartment.

If they had more room I would love to use the 2600 and 2900 ones but they don't fit in any REO with spring room for a short.

It has nothing to do with the safety or lack of .... depending on who's opinion.
Heck I do about 3000 things that are more dangerous every day than vape.

But the black ones give a better punch right off the charger and if you change out soon enough there is no downside only goodness.

BTW, did I read correctly that someone a few weeks ago sold all there REOs because they got freaked out about batteries blowing up ????

Thats some crazy shizzz right there. I think its more dangerous just to get out of bed each day than the chance of getting hurt with a battery failure.

I hope whoever it was isn't back smoking cigs :(

Yeah they did. Not going to mention their name since I'm not sure how that person would feel about that. We tried to tell them that REO's are perfectly safe and why AW IMR's are the best. I even suggested that they create a thread about any concerns that they might have.

They just went back to using their other pv's for now.

He actually ordered two more Grands. :) He's a nice guy. It's proper to be concerned and cautious about any battery we use in a PV. He just got swayed by a reviewer with a strong opinion that doesn't take all available information into account.

He is and it's good that he ordered the Grands again. I do agree that he has the right to be concerned and mentioned that to him as well. Which was why I suggested to him to create the thread.

So that you and others that are more knowledgeable about batteries could answer his questions. Anyways, I do agree that some information that is being passed on is pretty biased.

I don't consider myself to be knowledgeable about batteries. I do like to encourage others to check out the cpf forums. A lot of those posters are battery gurus with the education, experience, and tools to test batteries and share their results in a format that's not too difficult to understand and interpret.

Edit: Roly & company here at ECF have compiled a ton of useful information here on ECF too. :)

Been a flashlight modder over at cpf for years . The only real danger is when someone is stupid enough to use non rechargeable Liion cells or stacking multiple cells . It usually takes a few stupid things combined for something to go wrong .

I have to ask what is probably a dumb question. Can you use the same chargers for the 2000 mah batteries that you use with the 1600? Or does it require a different charger? I've got a vv device that I blow through the 1600s on so the 2000s are tempting. However, I want all my mods to use batteries that can be charged on the same charger to just keep things simple.
