So I've done a bit more experimenting, as well as purchase that 5v battery.
I tried the 510 gold v2 ikv carto today. I have to say, excluding the dual coils for the moment, its thebest carto I have tried yet. The taste is so clean and the pull is so smooth. Amazing product. I got the drip tip ones and worth every penny. I've had a few thoughts on them so far though, and regarding volts and whether to stick with these or the dual coils.
No idea what the ohm rating is on these, I'm guessing 3.0 ish? AT 3.6-7volts they are very cool. I like them but I think a bit more heat would bring the flavor to full bearing. The vapor is good though. SO I am thinking that maybe I could use these at a higher voltage and they would be perfect. I will try these out with the 4.8v 600mah megladon battery when it arrives, I just hope its not 'too' hot, but seeing how cool it is at 3.7 I think it might just be perfect. I'm anxious to try.
I am actually used to vaping @ 5v volts because I have a KR8 pass-thru which I almost forgot was 5.1v. And with some 3.0 ohm blanks I had been using with that pass-thru, the hit was actually about perfect. Burns the juice faster, obviously, but not sure how it affected the carto ITSELF. A tiny bit cooler and it would be perfect. SO since its technically 5.1 volts and that other battery I ordered is 4.8v, combined with a 3.0 ohm carto it might be my sweet spot. I shall see!
As for the dual coils, I'm starting to really like them at 3.6 volts. Like a lot. Its not too hot, just the right temperature for me. I prefer dual coils @ 3.6 than the IKV ones @ 3.6.
Like I've said I'm not really sure how resistances work or if the lower/higher versions of these would be better for my needs, but I think vaping these at anything higher than 4volts might be a tad bit too much, but will still give it a try @ 4.8v to see. The fact that they hold a lot of juice and absorbs very quick is awesome, but I'm thinking the fact that its dual coil will be burning the juice faster than the extra juice lasts me. *shrug*
As for taste though, best I can tell the IKV ones do taste a bit better, not sure if its just high quality polyfill or what, but its very clean. I think I detect hints of something in the dual coils. The wires in mine look copper, I'm scared these are emitting copper gasses, is this possible?
Either way I have some enjoyable vaping opportunities at the moment and the search for the perfect vape is just about over, which I am VERY relieved with, because I want to just fill a carto or two every night, charge my batts, and never think about anything else, just need it to be right.
On another note, my 510 expert atty came, and oh man, I dripped a few drops in and its the cleanest taste I've ever experienced. It tastes so clean I actually thought it was ruining the flavor until I realized I'm just NOT tasting polyfill hahah. Couldn't see myself doing this often, and it looks like they need a ton of cleaning and maintenance. Do I have to like to wash it out every time I change flavors or something? Meh.
I have no clue how to use these 510 tank cartridges though. Its a plastic clear hollow piece with a polyfill stopper. Do I take that out and just pour juice in, and the polyfill holds it in place? Sounds sketchy lol.
Thanks for the tips everyone its been very helpful.
Vape on!
