I've found 32 ss316l doable, dont know for kanthal or nichrome. For me 30 is totally ok to wick, and 32 I don't bother, just don't have the need to. Have managed a 2,5 ohm 32g 2ID coil that vaped just fine, but the fine wire burns out fast, while the 30g gives as much or even more flavour output. I'd bother with 32 again when I want to aim for a 70pg 30vg juice and 20mg nic, its probably more cost effective towards the juice, but be prepared to rewick quite often.
