BACKGROUND: I was doing the disposable e-cig thing casually for a while. I have never been a heavy smoker or really been "hooked". I just smoke cigarettes when Im out at the bar, or REALLY stressed. Sometimes a pack will be gone in a week, sometimes they go stale because I didnt smoke them all over the course of a couple months. Just depends on life at the time.
My husband is VERY against cigarettes too. Always has been.
He has tolerated my vaping spending (only about $100 total so far) since it means he isnt dealing with cigs. I want some upgrades but havent wanted to push the envelope.
Well 2 nights ago he went with me up our local brick and mortar. He was trying to butter me up because he had been a jerk. I was planning on just looking around, and I didnt buy anything.

BUT HERES WHATS AWESOME: My husband wants one now. =D

One of the guys working there kept talking to Chris (husband) and they hit it off. Chris was discussing why he isnt interested nor has even tried my PV with the guy. Next thing I know, Chris is up at their little juice bar puffing away and trying all their flavors!
He really likes their in-house lavendar and also their sage flavors. I was SHOCKED, but thrilled.

We are going to buy him a kit, because he keeps using my spare. Having only one battery at work SUCKS. I am so glad he is getting into this though. Now when I spend all our extra money on vaping, its for "us" not me. Hahahaha

I was showing him a bunch of different set ups yesterday to kind of pique his interest and bring him into this little world I have discovered. Well last night he was watching me rebuild my protank coils and getting all excited seeing how differently it smoked than the retail attys. He also now REALLY wants a pipe mod.

I have created a monster.

EXACTLY!! Lol.
And he isnt really that kind. Im a total nerd so he lets me do my research and if I find something I think he will be interested in; I point it out to him. I send him tons of stuff and every now and then hes like "YES THIS!" and its his. He will probably be a juice FIEND though. I'm hoping it'll help him with his other habits. Besides, I wouldnt mind having tons of gear around.

Also, for my first big upgrade I am considering getting either a MVP or a VAMO.
Which would yall recommend? Ive done some research on both, but Im not sure which I should go for.
They are similar in price so that isnt a huge deciding factor.

Lol. In a couple of weeks, you're gonna complain that your hubby is spending way too much on this new hobby.

But on a side note, does your husband smoke? I would humbly suggest 0 nic juice if he doesn't. Not because nicotine is harmful, but just so that the ANTZS don't have more ammunition.

Enjoy the new monster you've created. Mwhaha!

Hello All, New to the forum. I quit smoking after 25 years on Nov 9th. I know what your husband is going thru, so many options and new things to try. Very addicting in fact I am trying DIY and got a batch steeping right now. Hopefully I can get something I like that isnt totally horrible. Originally started with a basic ego and clearomizer and have switched to a Protank II on a ego and works well for me.....so far....

Too many choices, mods and knock offs to try and too little time.

I think I know what your husband is getting this christmas.... :2cool:

My friends Vamo did not last as long as the replaceable batteries he bought for it did. I bought an MVP 2 because his is still going strong, he bought it soon as it was released and his MVP 1 is still going strong. There are folks that are really happy with their Vamo mods. Probably boils down to weather or not you want a box mod or tube mod. I like both. I use any tank or atty on my MVP that I would on my mech, RBAs, RDAs, large carto tanks, etc, etc, etc.

Besides: Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape right under 42$ with shipping.

I would suggest the SS Vamo 5, simply due to the fact that once the MVP2 battery dies it becomes a disposable device, I have used both and still using both, the button push on the MVP2 is hard and I personally can only use it for so long before my fingers get tired, also with the Vamo you can use either the longer or shorter batteries, making the device look different and with the smaller battery the weight lessens. Now the MVP2 charge will last at the very least 2 days (and I vape a lot), whereas the Vamo 18650 2000 mAh battery last me approx 1.5 day (at the most).
Those are things you probably want to consider, before choosing one or the other device.

Actually he was never a smoker (besides Hookah). I have bought him a big ... bottle of that Lavender he liked so much thats nicotine free. I only have a couple of flavors with nicotine in them. It adds to my variety.
I highly doubt I will complain that he is spending too much! Lol. He doesnt research anything and hes a little wary of the amount of information.
How I see it going? He is going to wait for me to get an awesome new toy... He is going to try it, then steal it. Then I will have to order another one and wait for it to come in. Its how things like this ALWAYS work. Lol

As an aside, they are marketing e cigs as a diet aid now. Vape and lose weight? Can't remember where I saw it. The price was ridiculous.
Google to the rescue. Found it!!
http://www.vapordiet.com/

I have actually lost a noticeable amount of weight since I started vaping. It was a pleasant unintended side affect.
I think its because now, instead of eating when Im bored, I vape. :)
It also helps curb that sweet tooth! I mixed a little vanilla with my butterscotch in my protank a few days ago since they were both almost gone. SOO good.

I have both
The Vamo is my everyday go everywhere device
The MVP is one of my backups

Vamo hints and tips
1. get a mini vivi nova beauty ring to protect your 510 threads with Protanks (threads will strip out if you over tighten to try and get the tank firm - this works perfect)
similar to this - $1.05 EGO Battery Convertor Ring for 2.0mL ViVi Nova Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
(should be available at your B&M)
2. make sure it is in RMS mode when you get it
3. get the nitecore intellicharger
4. Do NOT get any batteries with "fire" as part of the name
5. Do NOT get protected batteries (they won't fit and the vamo has the protection circuitry already)
6. Get at least 4 batteries - 18350 or 18650 are the only size options vamo has
7. If you are going to stack 18350's (I don't recommend - only needed for the 13-15 watt range) you need to have a dedicated pair for just this, always charge them together, and rotate top and bottom placement in the vamo
8. and of course as mentioned in previous posts get the stainless steel

and if you want to keep your hubby from stealing it put a girly wrap on it (someone put a pattern in the vamo thread this last summer for doing this on your own - just print out a pic on large label and put clear tape over it)
oh, found it -it was posted by peraspera -
Print at 100% size

hope this helps

Thanks Jim! That is EXACTLY the kind of detailed information I was after.

KjAthena! Your in Tampa Bay? Im up in Tallahassee! I'll be spending Christmas-NewYears in Port Richey on my Sailboat though. :)
Nice to see other people from my neck of the woods. =D

Jim's advice is rock solid. While it's good he gave safety pointers for stacking, because inevitably people will do it, it's just better to heed the first part and don't do it. Not worth it and with 18650 there is no need.
