in my body in the Windy city
Drove out to see a friend who lives close to the border of a neighboring state. Normally, I'd stop by the smoke shop just over the border to stock up on cartons of cigarettes, because they are so much cheaper there, but I DID NOT have to do that this time!

The smoke shop will miss me and my credit card, but I do not miss the smoke shop! :2cool:

Laughing so hard...

Nothing like a lit cig down the front of your shirt!

That sounds horrifying!! I once dropped my lit zippo into my lap while driving. I still have nightmares about it.

Craning my neck around to look in the back seat while driving just to make sure that red hot cherry that came off really went out the window and isn't sitting in the back seat scortching a hole in it.

Oh, AGREED!!! It's such a terrible feeling!! I once had to toss a freshly lit cigarette out the window when a sudden downpour hit outside. The toss "felt funny," and I was convinced that the whole damn thing came back in the car somewhere. At the next red light, I "stood up" on the floor boards to crane my neck to look in the back seat, and when I sat down I felt an excruciating scorch on my back - the ciggie had indeed come back into my car, landed between me and my seat, and burned a hole through my upholstry and my suit jacket. Suckity suck suck suck. I don't think I ever came down from that panic.

One of your students/parents sees the pack in your purse or the dirty ashtray in your car.

LOL or under your furniture (who knows how long your cat has been batting around that empty pack across the hardwoods?) when your parents are helping you move. Sigh!

Thank you all for the warm welcome, and the hilarious (and true!) contributions to the list!! 11 days and 16 hours!

Congrats on your 11 days analog free, that's a huge accomplishment!

I don't miss:

Dropping ash in my morning coffee
Hiding my smoking from the children in my family
Having to take cigarette breaks at work (I just Vape at my desk)
Being viewed and labelled as a "dirty smoker"
Not being able to breathe from walking down the street

Vaping is a life saver!
