Guys I think Bruce will try his best to avoid being out of stock of consumables like coils. Besides if you do run out at some point you can always make you own coils like we do now. No big deal really.
I think the seasoned guys and gals should let the newbies have first bids on the ready made one's. I believe the whole idea of ready made coils is to help those who are still new and don't know how to make them.

I agree ...for those of us that are already use to making our own coils should let the first time buyers of the rebuildable ody/Penelope. let them have the premade coils. I am not to pressed on getting any of the coils. If I see they are in stock, I may get some, but its not a priority for me.

I agree, thats a great idea. People that know how to make a great coil should let the first time buyers and others that have problems get them first.

i agree...though these new coils will be a bit different right? especially for the size, i will want to see Imeo made coils to see his "right" way so i can learn from it.

brass connector pins woud be great

Hi Jager,

I'm not trying to take coils away from you man. I've never built one so I'd like a good trial period before freaking out.
I think we all buy what we can when we can with GG. Not saying that I won't buy 100 coils if I can but I am buying 2 P&P's just like you and how would you feel if I told you you could only have 1 P&P? I understand your point man but shoot ,we all have to watch the forum and cov to get what we need. We have all lost out and all felt lucky. I don't have $5K to spend on coils so I think your safe if you register at cov and get email notification. No worrying man, I'm sure we will get what we want sooner or later. I'm just happy to be a part of the Imeo Disneyland ride!!!!!!

Thanks,

Chris

I'd happily spend in the ballpark of $25-50 for a set of solid silver contacts (button post, connector post, and battery axis post), but I think that the brass should be more than sufficient. If the battery axis posts are being made out of brass, then shouldn't the contact point on the fuse upgrade also be made out of brass?

Black,
I still think a limit on coils is fine, if they would have said i could only get 1 P+P i woudl have said "grrrr", but i woudl haev understood. Same goes for the coils, i will want to buy a lto for the convenience and to see the new style etc., but i would feel liek crap if i got 100 and someone else didnt get any.

As i haev seen plenty of sales go up before "everyone" knows about the sale, forcing people to miss out, and reading all the banter from the forlorn speaking out because it isnt "fair", i think tryign to be as "fair" as possible shoudl be a requirement.

I have been on the "missing out" end of the stick due to reasons i couldnt change, and i have been on the end where i got what i wanted and felt bad as i saw people who couldnt log on or didnt have a chance to order (some of this stuff goes within a minute or two). It is heartbreakign to see people who care jus tas much as yo uand I get squeezed out because of poor timing.

I didnt say a limit FOREVER, i only think a limit per day woudl be fair and probably only in the initial shipment. If you can only get 10 a day to begin with, that gives everyoen a fair chance to log on at some point in the day and not miss out. No matter their time zone and work schedule. After the first day or two, drop the limit and proceed as the free market allows.

Why not try to be fair? Why not push for fairness at our own expense? To often in the world do we see others take advantage of peopel who have no options, why not let our little world be a little different, maybe even a little better?

Dont get me wrong Black, this isnt directed only at YOU, so dont look at my reesponses that way. This is referring to me just as much as it coudl apply to anyone else.

All i am doing is trying to soudn off for some fairness and equality, at least at the onset.

There is about 170 pledges for P&P at CoV right now,so the good news is if 5000 coils make it to CoV,its like 30 coils for everybody.

I suggest a percapitea is calculated and it would be the limit per customers/P&P and can be waved for those that are insecure enough to need 60 or 90 coils in a drawer right from the get go

I'm not very concerned with pre-made coils being available, mostly just curious to see one.

I'm much more interested in the VV mod, that's what I'm looking forward to. Not having to make a perfect coil every time, just dial it in and get on with it. I hope the GGTS adapter is on the drawing board for an early release following the Proteus. With so little being mentioned about it lately, it must be a bit more trying than expected.

Yes, pins for the fuse upgrade would be great in brass. Thats all I use is fuse upgrade - can't feel the telescope properly with just the spring and fuse hits much better IMO
