If you ae talking about never cleaning as in not blowing it out or anything, it can clog or crust making a hard draw, no draw, leaking, and/or either no-taste or burned. I have also seen them get so gummed up that the coil won't even glow. In general I have foudn they take very little to maintain. I do the "blow and go" method most of the time, and a refurbishing/cleaning whenever it starts to fizzle out on taste. A lot depends on the liquids you may be using.

As for tracking the dedicated attys, some people use a different color (my coffee atty is the only black one I have- seemed logical), some people use a dental band around the atty (e.g. a green dental band on the mint/menthol dedicated, etc.). I go a much easier route and just rubber-band the atty to the bottle. I only have three dedicated: one for all mint/menthol, one for K.Koffee, and one for any really heavy tobaccos (like a fire-cured Cavendish).

Ive heard nothing but raavvesss about that stuff! I think I need to try it. :) How do you tell your atomizers apart from each other, have you labeled them somehow?

It's absolutely fantastic. I recommend it heartily!

Currently, I only have two atomizers in service, so I can tell them apart easily: one's on my eGo, the other isn't. Also, one smells strongly of cinnamon and the other doesn't.

I track which carts have which juices with colored rubber bands. I have a colored band on my juice bottle, and a matching colored band on the cart that I use for that juice. Should I get a third atomizer for, say, clove, then I'll use the same method for them, matching the colors to the bottles.

(I didn't notice your post, Bradder, until after I wrote this. Great minds think alike!)

I like the idea of smelling it - after all this time I had never really thought of doing it - would be much easier. I use the band method a lot for carts of DIY - either match a single color or when I make a new one pick two or three (say 2 greens and a red) and then place the same combo on my filled cart. My mind just simply can't handle making lists, etc.

No Jennie, probably not any reason for that - only if you want routinely use the really, really strong flavors that stay in the atty for a long time. As mentioned, clove, menthol, cinn, and heavy tobacco are my mains. If I use a strong menthol (and by that I mean a menthol crystal base straight up), I would have menthol in anything I vaped for about three days after. Sort of like sucking on a Halls Menthol then having a steak & lobster dinner (echhk and what a waste of money on a good dinner :).

Things I've learned:

Do research, you can't do enough, but you can overwhelm your self and there's no "right" answer. I got a kit I thought was perfect for me. Less than a month in, I'm already ready for something else. Opinions on the way to go are all over the place, experience is pretty much the only thing that's the sure way to know what you like.

Vaping isn't exactly like smoking analogs. You'll get used to the differences, and there are benefits to vaping, but it won't be 1 to 1 like smoking.

I did buy a lot of different types of juices to try in different strengths. I've found the flavors I like in a hookah are the same I tend to like vaping, though the tobacco taste isn't there when vaping some flavors. I do wish I'd gotten a good system for keeping track of everything, empty cartomizers, filled ones, which with what juices, etc. I'm getting one together now, but it would have been better if I'd done it from the start.

Smart ........lol. 2nd "I don't clean my $7.00 atty... nah nah NA nah nah" post. :)

For the rest of us mere mortals that are not blessed by the Atty-Gods, we at least rinse em out with water. But, in the end, it's not that "fiddly". Rinse followed by a "warm burn" to evaporate the water.

As for hints.... It's snow storm time here..... Anyone think about what happens if the power fails? AND you're snowed in? So I 2nd having at least one backup on hand. Spare charger is nice too.

awesome point about power failures. we're in the midst of an ice storm here in nj, i just stuck all my spare batteries on chargers just in case.

Yes, all true.

Here's another one: don't spend weeks and months researching which e-cig to buy, you won't know what you want until you start vaping anyway. Just buy something (that the forum members seem to mostly agree is good) and start - research later.

I heard a ad for vapor value .com on keith and the girl comedy podcast and I decided that was the was the best sounding way for me to quit smoking cigs. Spent 2-3 hours on the forums here researching, bought a eGo kit, and about $50 worth of juices and cartos. Placed the order Friday got the package Monday from Austin TX. Haven't had a analog today! Def need a drip tip and tank for eGo.

just wondering about the 60mg juice on the skin..........as a max patch provides a 21mcg topical 24 hour release...........

60mg juice spilled on your skin would be bad. Handling any juice at 50mg or above should be done with latex/nitrile gloves and a lot of caution. And thoroughly wash everything you use to mix after you're done.

Good advice. I found this site on Saturday, ordered a Bloog Maxx Fusion and some juice the same day. I hope it gets here soon.
