New to vaping without also smoking analogs. Anyway, I was a 2 pk a day smoker for 16 years and have been doing just vaping alone for 2 days now. I am on FMLA at work due to asthma, migraines, ulcers and diabetes. Went for my monthly Dr. visit today and my blood pressure is back to normal, doc is taking me off one of my asthma meds because I don't need it now since I am not enhaling smoke into my lungs constantly and I'm off my sleeping meds because I have fallen asleep and stayed asleep all night the last 2 nights. When I was smoking, I never got more than 3 hours of sleep a night and coughed all night.

I was smoking and vaping both for a bit before but have been just vaping alone for only 2 days. Doc says that even the small replacement of vaping I was doing before had started helping my body recover and now that I am vaping only, I am well on my way to being healthy again. Very excited and just had to share with everyone! Can't lie, I tear up at how grateful I am that I found this new vaping way of life. I may just live to watch my kids grow up afterall!!!!!YAY!!!!

Congratulations on getting a great report card from your doc! Also kudos to the doc for encouraging you in vaping rather than fussing at you because he wasn't educated.

Isn't it great that there's something that can do this for you and it's fun too? You'll not only see your kids grow up but grand kids and maybe some great grands too. You're setting a great example for them.

Keep up the great work and we'll want to know about additional progress you're making as well.

Honestly I was afraid I was going to get a lecture from her because her first question was, "does your vaporizer have nicotine juice in it?" I said yes but then she asked me if I was using juice that could be adjusted as far as the nicotine content. I told her that I ordered it from a company that sales several different dosages of nicotene juice and she said, "ok, well I much prefer you vaping over smoking because it is healthier but as time goes on, I would like to to try and see if you can't slowly ween yourself off the nicotine by trying smaller nicotene amounts ." That was all she said by way of a lecture. She was very encouraging though about my health and how I am doing better without putting the tar and cigarette poisons into my lungs. She seemed to know more about the whole e-cig thing than I though she would.

good to hear tam, so your blood pressure is normal? i thought nicotine was the main cause of high blood pressure as it release sugar into your bloodstream faster. iam a truck driver and for the past 2 dot physicals i barley pass and didnt smoke before i was tested and took asparine and relaxed my breathing just to pass. i use pulmicort but havent used it since i quit as i can breath better now, i need to see a doctor again to see if iam really getting better since i stopped analogs. good new to hear.

Hi Mrsick6. My blood pressure was normal at this check-up. I was surprised because I have read so many things about nicotine making the blood pressure sky-rocket. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I used to be constantly worried that due to all my health issues, I was going to die because I could not put down the cigarette. It was on my mind all the time but since vaping and no analogs, that stress has completely left me. Maybe that is why my blood pressure is good now. Honestly I don't know but what I do know is that I am feeling so much better vaping instead of smoking. I just wish I had started this long ago. :)

That is amazing! And, you'd think that just about any doctor worth his salt would want you to do just about anything besides smoke tobacco.
