LOL hopefully I can keep myself from thinking that way. When I was 13 or so I couldn't wait to grow up, got a job and everything. In the last year or so I realized I did grow up! So I've been sort of back tracking.. figured out the hard way it's no fun to be a friendless work-a-holic that works 50hours a week to go home to their pets and re reading the same ol books over and over again due to lack of initiative to do anything different. Now I purposly act less mature and do stupid little things for the sake of amusement, once I get all the electronics and PV supplies I need/want .. I'm buying myself another skateboard :D

What gives away my age?

The fact I don't have a clue about half the stuff you guys are talking about unless I saw it on TV somewhere

My number 1 source of amusement other than a computer is my xbox 360

All of my spare cash goes to fast food and electronics

I was still in middle school when 9/11 happened (had just turned 13 in fact)

And probably the fact that most of the time I abbreviate about half of what I say

Oh.. and the fact that the most expensive thing I own is my laptop

Oh my... I am running out to buy that walker tonight! LOL

Hi CMac and Terri! Welcome to the Woman's Room! I see you guys jumped right in..that's great!:)
Ryle, Don't ever grow up at heart! Some days I feel like I am 16, other days I am 101! I still play every chance I get..G'Kids leep you young!
21 isn't a kid, at 21 I had been married twice, had 2 children and 20 jobs! But at 21 I knew nothing of the world at large, nothing of things that matter and even less about myself. You are way ahead of the learning curve there. You don't say Maam..we won't say kid..unless you want us to keep you young!

Jeez, I don't think I even know any 20 year olds...I have seen a few though as my house is located between a college and a university, and man do they look like their parents should still be driving them around.

Kinda know what you mean on that last, went out and got myself rollerblades lol, and I'll probably always be a jeans (or cargo pants), and tee-shirts kinda girl. I don't intentionally act immature, but I'm still having a hard time resigning myself to the fact that there are just some things that you look ridiculous doing after you turn about 25. Thankfully rollerblading isn't one of them cause it's a blast.

Heck Mary, I still get called a kid...I don't like it, I've worked hard to get where I am in life and it makes me feel belittled for some reason. lol

I also have older women who, upon hearing my age, say aw your still just a baby. That is even more insulting, especially since it's usually said in a rather condescending tone.

Those Women who say "Kid or baby" in that tone of voice are jealous! I think what we are doing is just teasing. Like I tease about being an old lady. 58 may seem ancient to you younger gals, but it's not. I still enjoy many of the things I did as a young woman..just don't tell Mike!:p

When a person is making something of themselves and doing the hard work..respect is due them. When they are hanging out with people 5 years younger getting high and not doing anything at all..forget em'!
It's the same for those of my age, if all they do is piss and moan..they are losing out on life and making mine a misery, forget em'!

So I think we should inform the young ones what they have to look forward to! You know all the stuff that happens that we wonder 'Is it only me?' and then you find out it is normal and wonder 'Now why didn't anyone tell me about that?'

Like increased flatulence for example. LOL

:)I don't know how many times I've said, "why didn't my mother tell me these things???"

My "least liked" maturity side-effect: hairs in places that have to be tweezed -- I have one that grows on my earlobe...a cluster of 3 on my left chin and one that grows straight up along my chinline on the right...one that comes out of the bridge of my nose!!! I JUST hate them. I'm a blond (well, I was born that way anyway) so they are light, but that makes them even harder to spot until they're like a 1/2" long.

The one I'm waiting on...to have the hair on my legs quit growing (all the "old" ladies around me says it happens)...one armpit is now "clean" but the other one is still going strong.

I see it this way.. IDC how ridiculous I look doing something.. if it's fun.. I'm doing it :p I figure that if I care what the person thinks of me then they won't think badly of me for doing somethign childish, if someone thinks badly of me for something I choose to do to amuse myself then their opinion doesn't matter. :D

LOL on the kiddo, that is actually what my husband calls me, I don't know why though since were pretty much the same age, but he doesn't mean it to be insulting or anything lol.

Jennee... boobs r over rated... the bigger they are the sooner they sag.. and the more often they get hit, or smooshed.. and give you back aches.. I'd trade ya in a heart beat & I'm not even THAT big (IE I know a lot of women bigger)

I was getting ready to point out the same thing....... smaller boobs stay perky longer, so enjoy :p

My daughter won't go to the baby section with me, I still oooh and ahh over the baby girl clothes. She tells me "Mom! I won't fit in those!" and drags me away. If she would have only held out for that baby girl..

I had a breast reduction done when I was 26, let me tell you it changed my life! I could wear clothes that fit, My back stopped hurting, I didn't have to listen to any more crude remarks, Mike could quit fighting and dunking men's heads in the toilet! My L.E. prof finally quit telling me all the police would assign me to was vice. He got mad one day when I turned in an A- paper and said, he knew I was smarter then that! That was the first person other then Mike who had ever said I was smart. The odd thing was he never noticed I had something done over the summer.
Bra size in + sizes = stupid in a lot of peoples minds. I know how a blonde feels.
