I vape discretely in restaurants and stores using the 8w, blow down the shirt method. In movie theaters I sit on the top row so vapor doesn't rise in the screen path and I still blow it toward the floor.

Most of the time I'm using an iSTick 40w set on 8W when I'm out. It's stealthy and a good pocket carry that is easily concealed in the hand. My first priority is that I don't vape in a way that attracts attention. In 5 years of vaping outside the home no one has complained or given me dirty looks that I'm aware of.

I realize that vaping in public can be an obnoxious activity if it's done inconsiderately. Numerous times people have walked up to me and asked, "Is that an electronic cigarette?". Their next question is, "Does it work? Did you quit smoking by using it?". Then, they want more information because they have a relative who won't quit smoking.

If people see vaping for what it is, a safer substitute for cigarette smoking, our cause will thrive. Hiding it just gives the ANTZ crowd more power.

From what I've personally experienced you can't Vape inside of the Airport, but can outside in designated smoking areas. Problem with that is you have to go back through the security Checkpoint.
I've never been a Cloud Chaser so Vaping in public has not been an issue for me. I Vape between 9-12 Watts and never higher and also use MTL Tanks. The biggest thing is that as I don't want people infringing upon my rights; I don't wish to infringe upon theirs either.

All the more reason to stop into the restroom and vape high nic juice while traveling.

I haven't flown in about 5 years. The Atlanta airport had smoking rooms at that time. Atlanta still has designated smoking areas.

Check with the airports you will be traveling through before you arrive. Most have web sites and most have an informational phone number you can call before you arrive there. If in doubt... ask security personnel when you arrive. All airports have some sort of vaping policy... some allow it any where, most allow it only in designated smoking areas.

Travel is expensive... don't spoil a vacation or risk losing your job on business travel by not knowing the rules and laws where you are traveling. Be considerate and please don't give the anti-vaping folks any more motivation to ban our usage just because you think you can get away with something in a place it's not allowed..

Each to there own, but no thanks; that's against the rules which were made to protect folks rights and as I stated I don't wish anyone to infringe on my rights and I don't wish to infringe upon anyone else. Plus that takes me back to High School days when folks would smoke in the stairwells. funny yes but wrong. I know I'm a square peg in today's world:thumbs: And I love it:thumb::toast:

@subwayaznm and @DaveP what is your build for low wattage? I started vaping as a subohmer and I'm actually working backwards
Cool Ohms are from 1.2 - 1.6 and still produce decent vapor, throat hit, and flavor which is my stick is Spot On.
If you're rolling your own Coils that's 6 - 8 wraps on a 2.5mm rod/screwdriver ;)
Hope that helps

I used to hate those smoking rooms in Atlanta. Yes, it beat going outside, but even as a smoker the smell was horrendous. Now I don't even enjoy the smell in the outdoor smoking area.

The last time I had a problem was at DFW; the bartender said his boss would fire him if he found out.

The time before that, I had some pharmy dbags ask me what I was up to and then gladly told me they were working for the man to try to market some crappy inhaler.

From then on, I use a high PG/high nic, low watt set up that I can steath and smells like coffee, tea or me.

I only wish that were true. Depending where you live there are regulations on where you can and cannot vape. For example on the issue of airports, the pre-take off script on all airlines now includes no e-cigs. In my location, no e-cigs in restaurants, public venues, public transportation, or even outdoor parks (there are more, can't recall the whole list right now).

A few airplane terminals do preclude or limit e-cigarettes and individual vaporizers. Numerous airplane terminals regulate e-cigs and tobacco items with the same policies, so you would need to utilize the smoking area or go outside.
