Hi, everyone. I'm new to vaping.

I originally bought some 24mg juice to get off the analogs. It's working better than I thought, so I think it's time to lessen the nicotine to maybe 18mg. I bought a good quantity of ejuice. I know (thru lurking on this site) that I can cut it with PG or VG. My questions are: what type of store sells PG or VG? It's not worth the shipping costs to order online. I checked drug stores to no avail, except powdered laxative! The other question, if I cut the juice, can I add a little Mint Extract as flavoring to the menthol juice. Or will that kill me, it's 89% alcohol.

In the cosmetics aisle in drugstores (at least all that I've been in) they sell vg labeled as just USP glycerin in a little 5oz bottle. In my wal-mart here, it's in the pharmacy area right by the rubbing alcohol. In my CVS and Walgreens, it's in the cosmetics sold as a skin moisturizer. As far as PG, you could either ask your pharmacy to order you some or some folks have found it in tractor supply stores by the gallon. I don't know where else PG would be found, aside from online.

I wouldn't use a cooking extract only for the fact that it's weak but some do contain other ingredients such as caramel color or sugar. If it only lists flavor and alcohol for ingredients, it should be fine but don't expect it to add much flavor. Extracts are pretty weak.

The vg should be labeled as glycerin usp skin protestant, and the only thing listed on ingredients should be glycerin usp 99.5% (or higher), possibly followed by the word (anhydrous).
Squat, clear, 6 ounce bottle, near the bandaids at rite aid and supermarkets.
Vg will thicken the liquid, you can add a few drops of plain grocery store distilled water or high proof plain vodka to thin it out.

I'll start with the flavoring... Yes stay away. Echo what was said above. On top of that, many have oils which don't mix and sugars which could destroy your gear.

One thin I would sugest is getting 0% nicqiud in the same flavors from the same vendors that you have now. Adding pg, vg, or pga is good to thin out, you may loose some of the flavor. So if you mix 3parts of 24mg with 1part 0mg, you end up with 18mg and no loss of flavor.

Do no buy just any USP glycerin. USP does not mean all-vegetable. Some contain animal glycerins and those don't taste good.

Walmart's Humco brand glycerin (near the rubbing alcohol) - Humco said theirs was all vegetable when asked. And Michael's Crafts carries Wilton glycerin with the cake decorating supplies (vegetable, used in some icings). You could also check health food stores and try to find a 100% glycerin USP which lists its ingredients. if you get a random USP glycerine and it tastes and smells OK it is probably all vegetable. I just don't want you to ruin your juice mixing in something bad tasting.

I would not use very much VG to cut juice that is being used in tanks or cartos. VG makes juice thicker.
Re shipping costs - OneStopDIYShop usually has reasonable shipping costs and does Liberty-Flights.com (press the 20% off upper left before shopping there) and both have PG and VG.

Dormouse, we were posting at the same time. Thanks for the advise, I'll definitely read the labels carefully. I'm trying to improve my health by not smoking. I don't want to endanger my health anymore than I have to. Also don't wanna mess up my equipment.

What I've learned: 1 - don't mix mint extract into the juice. 2 - read labels on glycerin carefully. 3 - next shipment of juice order lower nic & some zero nic. This will also help if the next shipment's content becomes higher than I need.
