Thinking about a Provari - I need help!

As an aside, while the tanks that you are using right now may be cheap, they are COMPLETELY disposable (you throw away the whole thing). The bigger tanks you keep and just change the cartomizer inside them...so in the long run they are cheaper, bigger and better.

I had the regular type of tank, like what you linked to. If I get new cartomizers for it, what kind should I get? Do they sell 3.0 single coils? I imagine 3.7 volts would be AWESOME with the cheapies, but I'd love to try going up to 4.2 volts, which I hear is the "sweet spot".

I'll won't be happy if I invest in the Provari, only to have it leaking and spoiling my vaping experience.

I have tried Smokteck punched cartos and had them leak on me. I'm not sure whether I got the wrong number of holes or what! So I've stayed with the regular size tank and 3.0 ohm Boge cartos and they do great for me!

I also have the larger tanks, and I buy the XL Boge 3.0 ohm cartos, but I have to punch the holes in them myself.

I vape right at 5 volts with either one of these, and NEVER had them leak!

Ok....here's my thoughts. Order one of these....

LR Chibi Tank Mod (boge 2.0)

It's $8 total for tank and carto that will work on your eGo. See how you like it. If it works? Great! Think about upgrading to the Provari...if not, you're only out $8 + shipping, not the $200+ for the Provari.

Be forwarned that you'll need a syringe and needle to fill these..so here's a link to those at the same place...

I use the smoketech DCT on my provari, the 5ml tank and havent had any problems. I vape high pg juice and use the smoketech prepunched replacement cartos, sounds like you are having flooding problems instead of a leaking issue. Check your carto in your tank and see how many holes it has in it at the base. With high pg juice, i only use single hole cartos, thicker juices may need 2 or even 3. Flooding is usually to many holes, burnt taste is usually not enough holes or improper filling. I usually get my replacement tank cartos from hoosier e cig, they have single coil, 1.7,2.0,and 3.0 omh, and also have them in dual coil if thats your prefrence. Alot of the forum suppliers carry these replacement cartos now. Dont know if i helped you any, but i gave it my best shot. But you will love the provari, its a great purchase!

Thanks for all the useful info/advice. I will try it with the Boge 3.0 cartos but I'll also get a few of those adapters so I can I can fall back on my favorite clear ones if flooding becomes an issue. I hope it doesn't, because I'd love to get the most out of the Provari at high voltage.

Kay - I like the Chibi tank mod. Should I get the 2.0 Boge carto or the 3.0 for the Provari?
