Heyas nor_cal1980,

I haven't tried the madvapes boxmods, but I've heard good things about them. And all my orders from madvapes have gone very smoothly. I have a couple vv mods, and in my experience, I'd much rather have the vv than any fixed voltage mod. With vv, you can use up all the cartos that you tried and didn't like on a fixed voltage rig. Just dial it in for whatever carto or atty you put on it and away you go.

:D

i havent received my vv mod yet but its my understand that the higher the ohm the attys or carto is , the higher you can crank the volts.. ive herd that 9ish watts is i deal i think the formula is volts + ohms x ohms / ohms= watts so 5 volts + 3.0 ohms x 3.0 ohms / 3ohms = 8 watts.. I may be totally wrong on my formula im jsut going off of what i remember reading or what i think i remember of it lol ... but you should check out the provari if you interested in VV mods .. i so stoked about mine i havent gotten it yet so i cant give any proof of how good it is

1.5 ohm dual coil cartos are fantastic at 5v

I agree completely with this comment. I use dual coils at about 4.7 volts and they do a great job.

One of the nice things about a 5 volt or variable volt model is you are not tied to LR attys or cartos to get a half decent throat hit and warm vapor. Anything from dual coils to 3.0 resistence attys/cartos all work great with either and provide nice warm vapor.

Good decision on your part to upgrade.
