One word of caution. I never suggest a rba for an eGo or spinner type battery. It only takes one problem and those batteries are toast.

I don't agree at all for valid reasons:
What is the difference between a 2Ω coil in a pre-manufactured carto vs one on an rba? From an electrical stand point, nothing.
Does the user need to familiarize him/herself with proper technique in safe build and use? Yes.
Is wrapping a low Ω coil and using it on s twist advisable? No. But that's the beauty of an RBA, you make it what you need it to be in order to do what you want it to.

If someone sticks a 1Ω coiled RBA on an inferior battery, the problem isn't the RBA, it is the user's lack of understanding, and use of an inferior battery.

As long as you do not go below the battery manufacturer's lower Ω recommendation (for any atomizer), when setting up an RBA, there is little difference that the battery will notice. Performance can be better than a carto though. And when you decide to upgrade the battery MOD, it can and will work as good and better.

A multi-meter is a good friend to RBA users. You can know if you have a short before you apply power.

I don't believe they do, I've read about several going down to shorted coils.

They both do, the eGo-T series and forward does. I believe the -C Upgrade battery has the strongest detection and protection.

That said, I think you can still find loop-holes in its detection and fry internal parts.

Nothing wrong with wrapping one and insuring it works on an APV or metering it thoroughly. I use an A7 on eGos & an SDK wrapped at 2.2Ω w/o issue. I personally avoid going below 2Ω if its not going to be used on a larger mod.
