Thinking about starting with a "Pure" or "LUX" starter kit...

So after looking at countless posts for 3 or 4 days and following links to youtube videos and websites, I've narrowed it down to these 2..

Pure - Pure - Pure Starter Kit

LUX - LUX

I might end up getting one of each, (to try a manual and an automatic) but I'm kind of stuck on a couple of questions that I haven't really seen answers to (and I've probably overlooked them with the overload of information I've been looking up.)

1a) Are Pure eCigs (or any random PV) able to use Cartomizers rather than Atomizers (or should I just steer clear of cartomizers?)

1b) Is there a place that tells what cartomizers fit what PV's if I choose to stay with just the cartridges and if so, is there also a good site that sells accessories for Multiple PV brands?

2) Anyone have a link to a place that sells a good variety sampler for juices to experiment with? Every place I've tried to look up say "Out of Stock"

I was also looking into a Blu starter kit, but after reading all of the posts on the forum, most people are complaining about the carts, the batteries, or some other part. The reason I chose Pure was because it has the 220mAH as opposed to the 90mAH (if I read correctly) battery while offering more flavors in carts (and the convenient travel case with charger.) :p

I would get a 510 kit from madvapes, or cignot it will include 2 batteries/atomizers blank cartridges and juice. Low cost to boot.
As far as cartos prefilled, I never cared for them. I didn't think they lasted long enough. I prefer to drip. I use 510's as passthrus at home and on the road. When I am out about I use 510 mods so they have my attention, parts are available
for them from most suppliers, so they do have a reputation to stand behind.
Also joye ego's carry a good price on them and they have a good rep also.

I just looked at both of the kits. They are overpriced. Go here and look at the Riva 510: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510 or here and look at the Riva 901: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 901 either one is a far better buy. I. personally, would get the Riva 510............

Yes, maybe things like the Pure are a tad pricey but they offer a 1 year warranty, money back guarantees, etc, the cost has to be made up somehow. With most other pvs you're lucky if you get 14 days. Personally I'd take the warranty over saving a few bucks upfront.

Awesome input..

So if I go with the Pure kit (for warranty and test purposes) can I experiment dripping with the carts that are sent with it after they empty? Or should I just order some empty carts for that?

You should be able to poke up and remove the little inner cup using a paperclip, which will give you an empty cart.

ok, I looked at the Pure it MIGHT work to get you off cigarettes if that's your goal. MAYBE....
*Looks like the battery life will be OK (not as good as the eGo, keep the charger or USB close at hand).
*Looks like you can use it for "dipping" - where you dip the end of the atty into some juice - because the bridge is sticking out.
*Looks like you can (AND SHOULD) get some juice from somewhere else to fill your carts though, so I don't know if that makes a difference to you. Any time a vendor says their juice comes in "low, medium, high" you want to ask yourself; in this industry, where the majority of consumers know more about the product than the guy who's selling to them, WHY don't they say exactly how many milligrams of nicotine is in their juice? Be warned "high" for them might be 12mg which, trust me, is actually LOW in the real world.

All in all, if you don't mind paying double for the security of a warranty, go for it -- you could do worse.

(Imagine if you did that on other products BTW: $699.99 for a new tv and $699.99 for the warranty?)

Ok so basically I'm gathering that the Pure kit is a good (minus the extra $20 or so) to start with. I saw a video on youtube where a guy pushed the inner cup with a paperclip and removed some foil before he took the first draw. Is this something to do with every cart that I use?

yes, and yes.

Awesome thank you guys!

I'm so excited to receive this kit. Also, is there anything else I should order along with it besides a couple of different carts to try flavors? And is there a site to order cartomizers? (is there a size reference when ordering them for the first time?)

I don't know too much about cartomizers so I'm no help there. But I would pick up a pack of what they call blue foam and juices so you can refill your own cartridges which will save you money in the long run. You can find blue foam in the aquarium section of a pet store.

For juice I'd recommend Vapor Renu, they offer awesome juice at insanely low prices in almost any flavor you could want-

Marky - Please read some other Newbie threads before you make a decision. I'm not happy with much of the advice you've been given, except for the eGo battery recommendations. I realize you have your heart set on the Pure brand (and sorry, I've never seen it or heard much about it), but there has to be a reason why the majority of people (who have posted in this forum) who initially bought expensive starter kits (which turned out to be cheapies) ended up buying an eGo battery starter kit within a week or a few weeks.

It took me two weeks to realize I had spent way too much on my starter kits and placed an order for two Joye eGo 1000mAh batteries. I didn't buy the eGo starter kit, because I had switched to using only cartomizers within about three days after I started vaping. Atomizers and cartridges were way too time-consuming, with the dripping, dipping, and blue foam and/or polyfil mods, not to mention having to recharge the cheap, small batteries all the time, so I bought two eGo 1000mAh batteries and two eGo USB fast chargers (at Cignot.com). These batteries only need to be recharged after 12 hours or more, and that's with fairly constant vaping.

Good luck!

Joye eGo batteries are available in several battery sizes: 650mAh, 750mAh, 900mAh, 1000mAh, 1300mAh

The larger the mAh, the longer the battery will last before it needs to be recharged. You're looking to buy a Pure battery that will need to be recharged several times each day (you mentioned it was 220mAh). That means you'll need two batteries (vape one while the other is recharging), and it will drive you nuts after a day or two of constantly recharging batteries. (Well, it drove me nuts by the end of the 2nd day...)
