Hey Guys / Girls..
I currently own an innokin iTaste VV 3.0 and am currently thinking of upgrading to a Vamo V5. Just trying to get a feel for what other users think of their Vamo's and if you have any regrets / problems etc. with them. ~ Joe

P.S., to avoid the sarcastic "try the search block" comments, I am browsing the forums as well in addition to this post. lol

I got a Vamo V5 for christmas and love it so far. I was worried about the thread issues because an i-clear 30 tank that I have didn't fit "snug" and tilted like it could cross thread. It must have been a "1-off" or bad copy because the air controller I picked up from Kidney Puncher threaded in like butter. I am currently using a DCT Carto-tank and it fits fine. I am keeping the airflow controller on anyway just to be safe, having read about previous thread issues.

One improvement that I noticed is in the RMS setting. My old Vmax runs really hot because of the way it pulses I guess. There is a world of difference in 4.0 volts on the Vamo. It is just right while 4.0 volts on the Vmax burns the same ohm Cartomizer.

I have used it with stacked 18350's (button & flat top) and with 18650 flat top. It is still new enough to me that I can't accurately comment on difference in battery life between stacked or single big battery. I have a stainless steel version and like being able to put one 18350 in it for a shorter mod to pocket.

Hope that helps.

Thank You for the reply. I'm new to vaping, so i'm just trying to do my homework before I commit to a new APV. It does seem like a lot of people are having problems with the threads on the Vamo's from what i've been reading on here. It also sounds like one of these air controllers may not be a bad idea either.

The air controllers are cheap, like $5 with shipping, and will probably come in handy as I try new tanks/carts/whatever... I am relatively new to vaping as well. Been tobacco free since April 2012.

I never could find any actual thread complaints on the V5, but am playing it safe. I don't think you can beat the features of the V5 at this price point. My wife purchased mine from a U.S. site before Christmas for under $50 shipped and had it within a week. There are cheaper places to get them if times not a factor.

If you like tube mods, sure go for it...

I have a Vamo V3, was my first rig, helped me quit, I own a MVP2 and if I had owned it before the Vamo I would have probably not gotten the Vamo

Just think of the MVP2 as 3x the battery life of the VV V3, because it pretty much is 3x the body size, square block mod but short and works very very well

Here is my current aresenal of Mods...

Just picked up my v5 today, totally worth it imo. I had tried all previous versions before, never bought one because I couldn't see myself using it but I certainly did today. They worked out a lot of the kinks from the previous versions and it's a really solid PV. It is fairly long, so if that doesn't bother you, then get it!

i gots my vamo a few weeks ago, i like it pretty good yeah i do, it dont have a battery indicator, and it is way heavier than my lavatube but it work good, yessss yes it does they easy to clean too, easier than the lavatube oh yeah

I was looking into LavaTubes as well... One thing that turned me off was the connector that sat flush with the top of the unit.

I have a V3, and I really like it even though the threads were crap from the get-go. Cost me $6 and about 30 minutes to replace it with a new top cap. It seems the threading issues vary depending on manufacturer.

All in all, I'd still say give it a go, because it is a relatively low-cost mod.

P.S., to avoid the sarcastic "try the search block" comments, I am browsing the forums as well in addition to this post. lol

Not gonna get one. Most folks on the forum would agree that the search function here isn't that great.
