Your guess is as good as ours. The rumor mill is that there will indeed be a new device. Some are speculating that it will be variable wattage. I for one would hope that they go with a less gimmicky system, and something maybe a bit more advanced. Jumping on the VW train this late in the game would look like a rather anemic move when other options do exist.
It cracks me up, a little, that someone would think that being able to set the power output was somehow gimmicky. Now don't get me wrong, I think ProVaris are great devices, because of the build quality and support. If I had the extra money I would snag one up. But still, maybe ProVape could step it up a bit.

I couldn't ever recommend a SVD. I have seen too many button issues personally. The Vamo V2 was great minus the threads and 18650 size. The MVP makes up for its "disposable" status because it is so feature rich in my opinion, great battery life, ohm checker, VV/VW, ability to charge devices, etc.

The Provari is the best option in every catagory besides price. It is a freaking king Tiger tank. A beast. The user reviews say it all. I honestly could care less about VW when it comes down to it.

I'm pretty new to this myself as I got of cigarettes last September due to lung cancer after smoking for 50 years. So even with Medicare there are still doctor bills to pay so a Provari at this time is out of my price range however I am using eGo style spinners with economizers mostly Aspire. So Wednesday I got my SS check and after watching a few hours of reviews I went for now the the VAMO V5 stainless model with a Efest 18650 Hybrid IMR 2250ma, a pair of Efest 18350 800mA button IMR's and a Trustfire TR-001 Charger in the kit. I did order a Aspire Natulas from another site for it but also have a few others Aspire BDC models that I was using since I started. I do plan on getting the Provari when I get back my income tax return. I expect the VAMO to be delivered tomorrow so will let you know how it works out for me.
