Savings are substantial but only IF you can limit yourself to trying a few things at a time and not ordering every flavor made at one time lol.

First though, please, please read a couple of the stickies on handling nic. I DO NOT recommend starting with 100 mg juice, although that is the cheapest way to go. You probably can read up and be ok, but it's just so much easier and safer to start with, say, 36mg and mix down from there and only costs a couple dollars more to do so.

So, what flavors do you like? Let us know and I'm sure several of the good folks here will give you some great suggestions, and we can figure cost out from there.

Welcome to diy. :vapor:

You can make juice for about 5-7cent a ml. JD is right if you go crazy buying stuff it will be more expensive. I got alot of flavors with wizard labs for cheap at 1.49 for 8 ml.

I think you can start a cheap as $ 50- $60 to as high as you want. My first order was plenty large and was only $100.00. I had plenty of flavors about 30 and additives, pg and vg and nic

Don't forget the T.A. (tobacco absolute) different places carry it. This is what I use http://www.wingedseed.com/Merchant2...ore_Code=SB&Product_Code=15322&Category_Code= Dilute with EverClear and that 9 dollar bottle should last over a year.

Here are some different places to get flavors, nicotine vg, pg and misc. items like mixing gear.
20% off your whole order! EcigExpress | Electronic Cigarettes, e-Liquid and DIY Flavorings Capella Flavor Drops - Over 75+ Water Soluble Concentrated Flavorings Wizard Labs Perfumers Apprentice - The Flavor Apprentice - World of Flavors http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/

Just take your time and read some threads here> very informative. Good luck!

Another forum member pushed me into trying DIY out. Here's what i am waiting for. I got 9 flavors from Capellas for $30 shipped. They are having a sale. I got 120ml PG 120ml of VG and 120ml of 48mg nic juice with 3 syringes, a beaker, some amber bottles and some ethyl maltol for $35 shipped from Wizard Labs. Just some stuff to play around with for $65. It's insanely cheap, really. To think I blew as much on maybe a total of 90ml of vendor juice (if you include shipping) that really didn't impress me inspite of rave reviews. I'd rather be let down by my own lousy mixes on the cheap, but something tells me I am going to be pleasantly surprised!

Okay so months of searching for my perfect juice leads me to consider diy myself. How much money am I looking at per ml and how much start up cost?

Hmmm. What's this all about? Sounds intriguing.

TA adds some of the base tobacco notes, especially the one that sometimes gets called (I think) hay or grass. It's not a stand-a-lone flavor, but a couple of drops (of pre diluted) can help some weak tobacco mixes.

If you'd like to give it a try, I'd recommend adding the tobacco smooth from tfa to your next order. Tobacco smooth is made from ta and already diluted in pg. Unless you absolutely don't want the pg that's the easier way to go.

It's not needed for all flavors. For example, I have some American red tobacco from wizard labs that I like, but I wouldn't dream of adding any ta to it. ( It tastes to me like it might already have ta in it lol.)
