Ok so heres the story, again.
I started with the Halo g6 .
Which is good for looking like a cigarette, and smoking like one.
Cartomizers are a pain in the .... Fill them too much.........other times not enough.
Overfill them and juice is all over the bottom threads and such. But they work well in bars and whatnot.

I was looking for a classy looking ecig, and I think I found it in the Joyetech Ecab.
Very slick looking and has a tank. I know I can get mini tanks for the halo which would probably work well.
However, the Ecab by Joyetech, in red with gold trim is probably the classiest looking Ecig that I've seen yet.
It just looks like something you'd carry to a suit and tie affair.

I like it.....but I'm new to this. I don't know how long atomizers last, or the tanks that the ecab uses.
Or maintenance involved. So I was hoping somone might shed some light on this system.

The other option is the Kanger Evod set up.
I was thinking about getting a couple of these and trying them out with one of the Ego batteries.
It seems to be rated very highly, but then again, I don't know the maintenance involved with something like this.
I'll be using this at home.
It won't really look like a cigarette, but when I go out and stuff, I still have my Halo g6.

I want to know what I need for a Kanger Evod system, a list, so I can make the order.
I trust that you guys won't steer me wrong.

I would also like feedback on the Ecab. I might buy one of those as well. I just like its look.

Thanks in advance and sorry if Im annoying anyone by basically asking the same questions, only with a twist.
I've kinda made my mind up that I'm going to upgrade.
juice HAS TO taste better when vaping without poly filled cartomizers. Yes?

it's past my bedtime, but here goes :)

>Joyetech Ecab. Very slick looking and has a tank.

No. the eCab is really just a very nice battery (or mod or PV). It needs a tank (or carto or clearo, or) to hold juice.

>The other option is the Kanger Evod set up.

Now this ***is*** a tank. It holds juice. It needs a battery to make it do anything.

I may be completely wrong, but I *think* you may be confusing batteries (or mods) with tanks AND with starter kits that probably include one of each.

In other words, you could buy the eCab battery and put an eVod tank on it.

I own several completely different styles of batteries (or mods, or PVs, pick your name). I plan to buy some Evods to use on all of them.

I *might* actually buy an eCab some day. If I do, i assume all of the tanks and cartos i already own will fit.

hope that helps. a month or 2 ago i was asking the same kinds of questions.

and if i'm all wet, then it really really is past my bedtime

zzzzzzz....

Get all three if you like them all and can afford them. They are all good. Use your eGo-C Twists (or Vision Spinners) with your Kanger eVods--you can even color coordinate them! ;)

Use you Halo G6 and/or your eRoll when you're out and about.

They are not compatible with each other so you'll have to have three separate sets of chargers, atomizers and clearomizers.

There is some maintenance with each system--but they are all user friendly!

Have fun.

I have the ecab and use it most of the time. I really like the flavour and has the right amount of draw (for me). It uses tanks and ego c atomisers that also work with the ego batteries, but you cannot use an evod tank (or clearo if that's the correct term) on the ecab.

Although the ecab is proprietary threading, it is useful that the tanks and atomisers are interchangeable with some old ego batteries that I have from a previous attempt at vaping. I also have an eroll for more social occasions, and these also use tanks (although different from the cab/ego tanks), but also uses the same ego c atomisers, and this is very convenient in terms of reordering, and if one system fails due to battery, I still have a good supply of atomisers for all my devices.

I have to say, for me, I don't like the evod, the T3 or the vision nano, for some reason I'm just not a fan, although many others really like them. Many will say that the tank/atomiser system is outdated, and certainly when I tried it when it first came out it wasn't satisfactory, but I have found it to be great now, simple and easy to refill, cheap atomisers that can be rejuvenated easily and last up to 3 weeks. I also have found no need for vv or vw or any more advanced system.

To sum up, the ecab is definitely a step up from cigalikes, and may be all some people need to get off the real cigs, combine it with an advanced cigalike like the eroll and I think it would suit a good section of people who want something simple and easy to maintain.

An eCab uses the same atty system as an eRoll, but that's it. You can't put anything else on it. An EVOD has eGo threading which the eCab doesn't.

My bad. Guess I should have just gone to bed. I was just trying to point out what I thought was some confusion between PVs and tanks. Hopefully I got that part right.

Thanks

I just got my wife two new Kanger Evod batteries, and (against advice) 2 kanger 3 evod tanks. I was told that the tanks would leak. I've found that if I wipe down the rubber around the atomizer when I refill it, and every couple days clean the whole tank itself (just generally keeping it in good condition), that I haven't had a leak problem. As for the batteries, she loves them. The button placement is much better than the button placement on the ego. Hers is a 650 battery so its a nice small size for her (she dislikes my 900 c-twists I personally use). The only downside to them is they don't have VV, its voltage is set at 3.7 with no way to change it. I will say it "hits" very smooth (I'm using a custom flavored juice from ecblends that is 40pg/60vg) so not having VV hasn't been that big of a problem to us, if it hits well, why change it right?

I used to use a vivi nova mini tank, which I liked, until I tried a kanger. The kangers are so much smoother, and better tasting. They also look better on the kanger batteries (as well as the ego) and don't need a collar to complete the look.

I've never used an ecab, so I can't give you a decent review of them. I try to stick to only giving advice on what I know, rather than what I heard. Either way you go, good luck to you!

Hi Eloquently Me,
I still use and started with the ecab purchased from totally wicked usa (they also host their own forum of which you could find out more about the ecab). Also, check out youtube videos. I love my ecab. It gives a very steady output of power until about the last four ?drags/draws/puffs/vapes? before it dies. And then just change out the rechargeable tiny battery (easy to carry extras). It absolutely has enough power for 1.8ohms, but not enough for 2.5 ohms atomizers. I use a vision clearo 1.8 ohms, its own atty/tank system, and cartomizers on it with great success. To use the clearos you will need to buy a 510 adapter; I bought mine from vapor kings, they also have a good landyard for it. As far a maintenance, I do not mess around with the cleaining of the atty's anymore! I did when I first got it and ruined an entire five pack. Now that I leave them alone and do not use them with dark ejuices the atty's seem to last months! I vape homemade ejuice of 50/50 with 20% flavor and again I do not vape any dark liquids in the ecabs atty/tank system; I vape those juices in a carto on the ecab. These are my opinions based on my experiences and I do regularly recommend the ecab.

Edit: Color - I recommend the bruched stainless. I have the stainless and "red" and the red started chipping within a month of careful use, the brushed stainless still looks new. And in my opinion, everything I put on the connector looks better on the brushed stainless than the chipped "red".

the evod or protank are the best tank. I have had my evod tanks for 2 months and they never leak. Just clean them every 3 days. I have had a protank for a month and it now hold my all day juice and the evod's hold the once in a while juices

That ecab bat looks like a 250ma bat. I would go to a ego 1,000 ma. But I hate running out of battery.

Hmm. ecab, "tank" system, separate atomizers and cartridges....

Not for me. I really, really don't like that system. Nor do many I know.

I'm sure some folk like it (and that's great), but when recommending things I prefer to go with something that is generally liked. These Joyetech systems are not as generally liked as some.

I know this, as I've been doing cross forum investigating, because they are the only system the bricks and mortar stores around here sell.
I think it's also expensive for what you get.

Sorry to those that like it. NOT for me.
