Thinning VG?

Are there ways to thin VG other than using PG? What effect would water have?

Distilled water is fine. I have thinned as much as 10%. 5% or less is normally sufficient. DO NOT use tap or bottled water.

Adding Water to High VG e-liquid has a couple of effects.

It (of course) thins the e-liquid which Improves Wicking.
It tends to Improve Coil life.
It Lowers the Boiling Point of the e-liquid.
And it can (IMO) Improve the overall Flavor. Especially if one is making a Heavily Flavored mix.

... And improves throat-hit slightly by changing the droplet-size of the liquid... Personally, I don't care much for the PG flavor, so thinning with water makes a better tasting unflavored liquid for me.

If I add 5% distilled water to a 30pg/70vg will I be ok?

Dihydrogen monoxide is the perfect thinning agent for VG.
