Third week vaping, glad I found you...

I have now been studying the InfoPages for about a week, and only wish I found this site before I ordered my first kit, containing overpriced rebranded KR808D2 batteries and cartomizers. That said, I have effortlessly quit my mor than 12 years old 20-a-day plus smoking habit, and absolutely love this concept!
Having read numerous threads and all the available newbie info, I have now ordered 'reinforcements' in the form of riva batteries, two sets of the SDK (because of the looks...), quality blank cartomizers in multiple sizes and so on - all 510, including D2 - 510 adaptors, from recommended UK vendors.

I would like some advice on a passthrough device that will work with the USB on my laptop, and that will not cause my (stack of...) prefilled kr808d2 cartomizers (with an adaptor to 510) to taste burned/ run to hot.


The cartomizers are not bad, and I have already tried refilling them with acceptable results, it would be good to get some value for money and I spend lots of time in front of my computer.

Glad you found your way Damper.

I cannot recommend a specific passthrough, but if you want to plug it into your PC, I would say that you need to make sure that it has a battery inline. This draws less current though the USB as the current is used to charge the battery and the battery is used to power the vape. A carto or atty usually draws more than the 0.5 amps that USB's are designed for, so the battery being inline would be very helpful.

This exactly. I can't really comment on the passthrough, haven't looked into any of that, but congrats on quitting!

A good choice for passthrough that also can help if your vaping a lot is GotVapes.com Vision tank and passthrough for less than $30. I believe it has 2 tank cartos.

Welcome! I quit smoking & started vaping 3 months before I found ECF. My starter kit was probably a bit overpriced, but it got me off cigarettes. It was a good starter kit, and I am forever grateful.

There is an EGO USB Passthrough by Joye that works as both a pass-through (at a computer/outlet) and a battery (for on the go). I have a few and love them. There similar to the Riva.

And I ordered an Ego battery/ passthrough... This whole 'I have stopped smoking' - thing is a great excuse for spending some Norwegian 'kroner' on my new hobby

Yeah the USB ego batteries are great, you can vape when charging. I have an ego-t and ego-c XL battery with mega smok dual coil cartos. And for me this is a heavenly setup. The XL just keeps you going longer. But they are the most easy to use

This is what I got it's a manual for my kr808d-1. I'm also new to vaping and it seems to work fine on the computer. But it seems to be slaking when I tried to use the usb on my Samsung captivate wall adapter. And they also have 510 and others. Hope this helped.
