This a real MNKE?

Got this at at a vendor here in the US, just wondering if anyone can verify just by looking at these pics if it's real deal...

Running a 0.4Ω triple twisted 28 awg Kanthal-A1 coil and the bottom cap of my Roller still heats up a bit, feels kind of like a shock that's how suddenly hot it gets, but only if i'm really chain vaping hard. Battery is freshly charged, was hoping it wouldn't do this (my AW IMRs do it every once in a while).

It looks exactly like mine do. 0.4 ohms is 10.5 amps at 4.2 volts, so well within the MNKE's performance range. I don't think it's the battery getting hot or the whole tube would heat up. I don't know the Roller. If it has only a screw on bottom cap I would clean the threads with alcohol and apply a bit of Noalox or something like that to the threads. If it has a bottom switch I would clean that. I Noalox every connection in my mech mods and that works well for me. You have a high resistance connection happening in that area that's causing the heat up.

That would make a ton of sense then... Explains a lot actually because the Roller is composed of several pieces. The inner tube has a ring around it which gets hot sometimes, but most of the time it's the bottom cap. Atmizoo released a newer style spring that has less resistance, although less safe (but is a far more common style spring amongst other mech mods).

If I had noalox, i'd apply some... But the only closest thing I have close to that is dialectric grease.

Noalox is dielectric grease. Go for it. Just keep it off any plastic parts as any of this stuff may degrade it.

Those are Fake better give them to me so I can dispose of them properly.;-) Its most definitely parts not making good contact. My Roller dose the same thing. I clean the entire mod once a month with metal polish and all of the switch parts every two weeks when Im using it. Remember you are making a hot rod so you have to keep everything in optimal performance condition.

How is noalox on delrin? I know Noalox is a dialectric grease, but it seems to have other additives in it. The downside to the roller on application of dialectric grease is every connection has a delrin piece. Bottom cap has a delrin grommet that holds the spring in place and the switch assembly is made of delrin. I dont think there is a way to avoid getting dialectric grease on the delrin pieces. Interesting... I too polish the whole thing (minus the matte finishes) at least once a month, I would polish the contacts, but afraid to ruin the silver plating as I do not have silver cream.

Does anyone know what kind of cream to polish the contacts with? I've been thinking of using a Sunshine polishing cloth, but I'm a bit weary to just in case it removes the silver plating. I know cloths like these are meant for sterling silver and can ruin plated stuff

So does anyone know which cream is safe to use on silver plate or has had any luck with polishing cloths? Thanks

I don't know about Delrin. You could contact the manufacturer of the Roller and ask them. Having said that, I use very little Noalox. I mean, I apply a small amount on a Q-tip and from there to my mod. I then wipe most of it off gently with a clean Q-tip. A really thin coat is all it takes. I have plastic parts in my K100 that I believe have no Naolox on them. The only way the Noalox in my mod is going to travel to the plastic parts is if the mod gets really hot in the sun and is in the right orientation so it can flow there and then it will be very little.

Yeah, I put some dialectric grease on the threads and +/- sends of the battery, no warmth at all.

I asked Atmizoo a few days ago about resistance, they claim it's ESD due to such low resistance.
