I have to run up to town.

Cousin Feed is going to practice his speech at that rotunda thing up there in what the town joking refers to as the City Park and I want to hear it.

I'm going to take two folding chairs that I found left out on somebody's porch one night that I guess they didn't want any more.

I'm taking two chairs so that me and the old drunk guy that hangs out at the rotunda thing can sit and listen to the speech. Maybe I can get the real chubby lady with a mustache from the Hardware Store to come over and listen to it too. She'll have to sit on the rotunda though because there ain't enough folding chairs in the whole town to park her backside on!! She's real pretty though and has four teeth! Around here if a woman has more than two teeth they are considered a fashion model.

Anyhow, I'm all excited about hearing the speech. I don't know what that "Sympathetic" things is that Cousin Feed is going to talk about ... I think its some kind of medicine for old people like me. But I'm sure anxious to hear it. Hope he doesn't charge us any money because I don't have any.

TT

You don't fool us! You went to take a nice long nap lol

Well now...

I was in no way responsible for Hugo coming ashore at the Isle of Psalms....

It's supposedly gonna rain like a cow pizzing on a flat rock here...No snow...no ice...Spring is just around the corner....

I just made the call and accepted the job...It's got benefits....there will be no train wrecks to repair...I will work with my friends T-Roy and his son El Tee...They had nothing but good things to say about Johnson Collision...I start on 2/25......

<----Is so tired today as well. Sipping on a nice large coffee hoping to wake up.

TT your story made me laugh out loud as usual!!! :)

Eldee, Congrats on that new job! I hope you love it and that they are good to ya! Bennies are a big deal today too, most ppl only want to hire part time so they can avoid paying them. Good for you!!!

I finished the food shopping for the week, and as long as I get my dd to and from school safely tomorrow I am good to go! (will only have to worry about BF's travels to and from work)
Man, they are all over the place with us for this storm! Just today I've heard 3-6, then 4-10, then even more. I'm still hoping the sucker goes out to sea, but it doesn't look as though we will get that lucky. The worst for us is scheduled to hit tomorrow afternoon/evening and into Sat am. STAY TUNED!!

Yep, but it's tradition, Salem. You just don't mess with that. It's like we all think, If I just have enough bread and milk, everything will be okay.

Same for our area Salem and Lilac. I always wondered wth are we gonna need all this bread and milk for? It's like we are afraid we will be snowed in for weeks or something!!! hahaha (wait, I better not get too cocky with this storm approaching! lol)

I don't use either bread or milk that often because the bread gets moldy before I use it and the milk turns into cottage cheese. I'm not a cottage cheese kinda guy. It's never in my cottage and I have yet to find any cheese in it. I think they used to call it curds and whey.

When I was younger I used to eat milk and crackers a lot.

We used to have toast torn into little pieces in a bowl with milk on it.

And rolled oats with coffee in it when there was no milk.

We didn't know we were poor because we had linoleum on the kitchen floor and nobody else around us did.

So we thought we were well-to-do kids.
