That trip today was somewhat of a divine intervention...I mapped it out and then GPSed when close...That way you don't accidently end up in the hood!! It was a couple of exits past the Durham job offer and even though it's Sunday the roads were a madhouse...No way would I make it a week with that drive and this unscheduled trip proves that as fact....The truck was a DUDLEY as well...Gotta crack some eggs too make an omlet.....or a banana poke cake........
Evening all! Still rainy here with a little dab of frozen rain mixed in the last hour or so. I don't think it will do much harm since it's still above freezing and should be up in the lower 40's tomorrow.
Dee I hear ya about that drive you won't miss making! I don't miss that mad dash of bumper to bumper, stop and go stuff in the least. Now I can roll outa bed, get my coffee and turn my computer on to get to work...in my jammies!
Sorry about the truck ElDee, that's too bad, but at least you know for sure now about that drive. My longest commute to work (a long time ago) was 45 minutes and I hated it so badly!! I was 21 years old. I drive my youngest dd right past that place twice per year to her eye doctor and could not imagine doing that each day. No way!
(((Bov))) So glad to see ya resurface round here. I missed ya girl!!
Yep Wharf, that time lapse was shot about 20 miles from me...at one point during that storm, it was coming down at a rate of 5" per hour!! That's the 3ft'er we had a couple of weeks ago. Our rain has changed over to snow tonight, but should just melt away pretty quickly. Famous last words....LOL
Only time I've been to Chicago was a layover at O'Hare. I flew out to Seattle for an EverQuest MMO gaming convention thing.
Made Some progress on the greenhouse for dw, cut all the frame lumber, started putting some together. Have to order the clear cover, looks like greenhousemegastore is a good source, if their s&h is decent.
Mark I had to run by a farmer's house today prior to my trip. They had chosen this morning to put new plastic on one of their houses...Those houses look to be about 60X200...Both were for tobacco plants to be started from seed...One is now gonna be used for garden plants, flowers and such...Tobacco like everything else went too China....He had a good bit of plastic left and a couple of guys are throwing up small greenhouses with it...Felt like Florida in there today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wharf...Have fun at the Bash...
It was @60* today...I was riding for much of it...Big storm heading this way for tomorrow evening...1.5 inches of rain predicted...50s after that...Drat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
