Hey Mark! I use a cold frame here in the tundra. It works well. We used recycled windows. I ended up replacing the glass with heavy duty vinyl I bought from Wally World. Somewhere I have a photo.....

My seed starting starts soon...hey I like that sentence its catchy... Anyhow, hope you guys are having a great night. I am going to be super duper busy. Dh gave me a honey do it now list. Oh, noes!

I like that setup. I have some extra windows, too.

Ours will be a simple 6' x 8' A frame, 2:3 roof pitch, just under 8' tall at the center. Not to large, but enough for us.

I had a plastic/vinyl greenhouse but I didn't like it. I gave it to habitat for humanity. I did get it on sale. However, this climate need something permanent. The greenhouse was flimsy and I had to put together/disassemble each year.

Sounds like a nice project. Oh, I have some more photos of something on my deck...hold on...

This is just one planter box dh made into the deck. I usually have flowers but that particular year I want Jalapeno plants...I love experimenting. The black cones worked well to increase temperature of the plants.

I used insulated sliding glass door panels for the one I built yrs. ago. The panels I found at one of the junk stores. I took the aluminum frames off and scrapped them and got most of my money back.

On the subject of greenhouses ... I don't know of anybody around here that uses them.

We just take the stuff outside and plant it. It'll grow.

It was soooo nice here yesterday. Sunny, warm and I had a nice time riding my 4Wheeler and running the dogs.

Today is springtime rain and thunderstorms ... so I guess I'm going to have to take it easy. Darn it. All the workaholics get to go have fun at their jobs and I have to hang out and listen to my iTunes and take naps and play on the computer.

I might even sit around and contemplate what all these politicians are doing to our country.

Sometimes I think I'm glad I'm old.

Mark I had to run by a farmer's house today prior to my trip. They had chosen this morning to put new plastic on one of their houses...Those houses look to be about 60X200...Both were for tobacco plants to be started from seed...One is now gonna be used for garden plants, flowers and such...tobacco like everything else went too China....He had a good bit of plastic left and a couple of guys are throwing up small greenhouses with it...Felt like Florida in there today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
