Sorry, El Dee. That fine seems excessive to me. Our local police is pretty laid back. One officer had me dead to right for trying to pass a car in the turning lane. He actually apologized for having to pull me over and let me go.

I used to have a habit of going to Wal-Mart in the wee hours of the morning...I figure they are open all night for a reason and in the summer it's cooler and less crowded at 3 a.m. Being the only car on the road at that time, I would get pulled over on a regular basis and asked if I had been drinking. My daughter was with me once and when the cop wanted to know if I was drinking, she burst out laughing. She knows I don't drink at all, and the sight of a policeman asking her gray haired Mama if she was boozing was more than she could take.

What a drag, Dee!!

I'm not sure what our temp got up to today, but it was t-shirt warm :) Did a ton more shoveling to clear out the spot on the gravel to park my car so that MIL can get her car out of the garage...because you know a catholic can't miss Sunday go to meetin  Then the grocery store.

Fran, I looked all over hell anf gone for one of those handy little battery mixers we've been talking about in the DIY thread...4 different stores and nada! Guess I'll have to order online, but I hate paying shipping for something that cheap! You end up paying more for the shipping than the item itself.

TT, I sure do miss good southern deep fried catfish!

Blowing bubbles...that sounds fun Tracy!

Nice day here, near 50.

Wifie is stripping old wallpaper in the main house, I'm working in the bunkhouse (the original camp). ,Connected the second circuit in the subpanel, it's always nice to bring more power online. Got most of the ceiling tiles out, loads of critter poo :)

Tomorrow will be removing more interior walls, adding new support studs, bleaching to kill critter scent. No rest for the wicked :)

I sure do know what you mean Lilac.

But I don't think we have a policeman anywhere around here who is awake at 3 in the morning. The town up the road is itty bitty and old Fred the Deputy Assistant Police Office What's In Charge will sometimes come out on the porch in front of his trailer house if he hears someone speeding through town late at night, but by the time he gets his G.I. Joe combat boots on and sticks himself with this policeman badge, finds his car keys, gets the thing started and looks around ... the dirty do'er is generally long gone.

Unless it was old Fred's wife who was doing the speeding.

Now that woman is a hellraiser I tell you. She dyed her hair yellow and tells old Fred she's going to WalMart at 3 in the morning! LOL, ha, ha, ha, ha, LOL (again) ... who in the world would believe THAT???!!!! I guess old Fred does but not anybody else I know! Oh!!!! That's too funny. It makes my belly hurt!!! LOL!!

But now you've got me thinking about it lilac ... I wonder WHY WalMart is open at 3 in the morning??

I'd send my wife to go check it out .... but that might not be a real good idea.

For obvious reasons ...

I'm sure glad to hear you don't have the sore throat any more 5Card! That's wonderful news and has put a big ol' smile on my face!

And you know what. Its getting to the point where I can actually cheer for a person or company smart enough to out-fox our goobermint.

Of course, then there's people like ..... hummm .... I won't mention his initials but his name is Wharf Rat .... who go out and work for free. Can you believe that? I never worked a day in my life for free. Of course, I've always been known for avoiding work at all costs and most people I know won't invite me to come work for them let alone ask me to do it for free. LOL!!

Well, except for my wife.

She always makes me work for free.

Business is business and they're all going to go where they make the most money. That's why a lot of our cars and other products are going to china. The dollar. But as long as they put some of that new found wealth in our sociable secreticies even secretly is okay with me.
Wharf, get back to work,

Oh and Thank You Buddy.

Glad you're feeling better 5!

Remind me again who it was that made it so much more profitable for the fat cats to outsource American jobs? ;)

The ones that said make the rich, (who BTW are the same ones that create jobs) pay through the nose. I believe that was Obamahahaha
Enough politics. I will save it for the outside forum.:D

Good morning early bird Fran and hiya everybody!

Pouring down rain here and that's okay with us. Keeps my ponds filled up, allergens down and the ground soaked with water. And so far we've kept our electricity so its all good.

Well, today I have to start turning the clocks forward again. It was just a few weeks ago that I finally got the last ones turned back. I don't know why we have so many clocks around here. I'm retired ... I don't care what time it is. But everyone else moves their clocks forward so I guess we have to do it too so we can stay in sync with everybody.

And with the rain I'm going to need a good inside the house job anyhow.

Then I can tell my wife how worn out I am from changing the clocks ahead and take a nice, long nap in my recliner.

Good plan for me and I hope all of you have a nice day!
