Sounds good Bov! What an adorable picture!!!!

TT, we're comin' to see ya bud!!!! :) We'll let my kids run that lemonade stand for ya while there. You work way too hard!!! ;)

LOL, c'mon gang!! Load up and get on down here!

We'll all go next door to that little hill overlooking the Sewage Treatment Plant and have a picnic and sit and vape!! Its a nice place to skip rocks on the water too. Sometimes I even find some really neat things floating over there that I snag and bring home and wash off and sell them at Yard Sales. Amazing the fine things people flush away!

We have dogs you can pet, the drunken armadillo to drink with, the stinky piggy that all the kids love and you can go chase the headless chicken around. That chicken is something special. I chopped his head off planning to de-feather it, clean it and eat it quite some weeks ago. After I chopped its head off I was tired and laid down on my plaid couch out there in the weeds and the chicken was running around as chickens with their heads chopped off are inclined to do.

So I take a nice nap and when I woke up that chicken was sitting there on my chest making this funny noise. I figured I'd go in the house and come back out and clean the chicken later, but when I came out ... it was running all over the yard. And to this day its still doing just fine. That chicken confirmed some suspicions I had that there are some people around East Texas that don't really need their head either because they seem to just use it for a hat rack. That's just my opinion though ...

Poor Mark. I feel so bad for him having to do all that work on the lake house.

You probably won't believe this, but I ended up buying two lake houses side by side at a fine little bass lake near us. They were great to have for when we had a lot of company, but I worked myself to death on those houses and never could get any help from the kids.

One day I told my wife that I was tired of doing all that with no help, so I just gave the kids each a lake house.

LOL, best danged thing I ever did.

Now THEY are the owners and now THEY maintain them and take care of all of the work!! I still have full use of the houses and can use them for company who want to stay at the lake ... but I don't have to do anything!!! That brilliant move took a load of work - and expense off of me!!! I still get a big grin on my face every time I think about it!!

See girls, I'm not just cute, I'm smart!!

Yepp...It's been raining all day...Tropical moisture from a Bermuda high...The driveway has been underwater for a while now....Praying for some relief before it gets worse than it is.....

Spike is definitely an instigator....110% Mini Pin...

Finally got a claim filed with the insurance for the floor at the beach......30 years repairing autos and dealing with adjusters.....Advantage Dee....I need to start shopping a good used bath vanity...Might as well upgrade while making the repairs.....

Bidding on some sunglasses down too the bay...2 hours left...I've taken a sniper position atop a hill....Hoping to fire the last shot if things don't get out of hand...

It's estimated 50% of the tobacco crop has been lost due to rain....Old farmers say, "A dry June will scare you and a wet June will ruin you." Wheat awaits cutting also....Soybeans have to be in the ground no later than the second week of July for a successful fall crop...I can't see that happening if the rain had already stopped...

Well somehow, between Tracy's house and Fran's, we ended up with a partly cloudy afternoon with a noticeably lower humidity. It won't last long, but it's nice right now! It's hot as hell in this house, so I told Katie to open the windows while it's dryer outside and get some air in here. She keeps this house buttoned up tighter than a nun's habit!

She got the electric bill today, and the fur started flying until I reminded her that I had already given her money for it  Once reminded, she settled down. Then I got to fix her screwed up check book. I need a book publisher for "Life with Katie"

Did nothing but a few spits here and there today, and VERY humid.

LOL ElDee, I was picturing "Spike" to be a pit or a boxer or something of that size, but Min Pins are cool!!! My Aunt had one that we all just loved. Give little Spike a scritch behind the ear for me. :)

DD has driving test tomorrow so we had her out practicing some more tonight. She does well, but if she doesn't pass it is only bc she has been working too much, and practicing not enough. It's those dreaded K turns and driving in reverse and stuff that concerns me some. My ex is taking her. I will either get an irritated phone call, or a photo text of the license. Wish her luck?

I"m off for the night, and will see you all in the am! :) Make it a great one!

She'll ace it Tracy! Good luck to her :)

IIR the story correctly, Spike was rescued by Dee from a dreadful situation. Shhhh, don't tell anyone Dee has a soft spot! We don't want to ruin his bad boy image ;)

Last time I had to take the driver test was when I moved to Tx when I was 18. They made me take the test to switch my license fro Ark. to Tx. I had to use my mom's '77 Caddy land yacht, and when we got to the parallel parking part I told the cop I couldn't do it, so he may as well fail me. He asked what I would do if I needed to go in a store and the only parking spot was a parallel one...I told him I'd drive around the block until there were 2 open spots together. He cracked up and I got my license!

I still can't parallel park if my life depended on it

Well I had a nice long post hammered out...Some of it funny and some would surely make you question my sanity....

Then at 1:22 am my Sis's burglar alarm went off...

In a county that has way more cops than we'll ever need.....none were available...Whaa???? The alarm company stated I'd be the police on the scene...Where's my dang badge then,,,wait a dang minute,,,,did she call me a cop???????????? No forced entry and nothing disturbed...False alarm I'm hoping.....the key to her house must be with that damn tractor key...MIA

The "soft spot".....Mess with animals and I will get in your grille....Spike was the victim of abuse...One day that lady will get what's coming her way...She damn well better hope I don't see her...My bet is she pays karma a little payment each and every day...

My county shelter has an all kill policy for Rotties, Chows and Pits....We formed a Pit Bull Coalition...Hammered that dang azz on a daily basis...We let our voice be heard and a few weeks back Pits were listed for adoption as "Boxer Mix"...I'm thankful to the dog lovers in my coalition....I believe any dog no matter the breed should be given a fair chance...I also fully support implementation of laws strictly regulating the breeding and sale of all puppies...There are way to many shelter animals...That just ain't right....

Tracy as I intended to say at the top...I'm sure DD will do fine...Hammer Down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to hate today. I got to pull the motor out of my son and exes car to fix a rear seal that came out. Her car if famous for having the seal fall out and then just rattle around the crank. I haven't done a motor pull for a very long time and not looking forward to it but I have to be dumb enough to be the only one they can afford. Free.

Ewww, I don't envy you that job 5'er! Be careful.

Dee, you would probably make a better cop that most of the cops on the street! The last person to break into my house got held against the floor by the business end of a 12gauge right at the base of his stupid skull. He was mighty glad to see the deputies arrive and rescue him from this crazy woman!

Good golly it's hot and humid! I got the yard mowed, so let it rain now if it wants. MIL actually told me to "take it easy and sit by my ac for the rest of the day"...don't have to twist my arm on that one

Last night no officer was available so I checked everything out myself...Then I cut the block looking for any suspicious activity...intending to sneak back into the area just to sit and watch...The cop had arrived when I returned...Over an hour later...

Today as I went out on my errands I passed the grill just down from my house...4 deputy cars in the parking lot...FOUR.......None likely available for an alarm call...I found the key and no I didn't find the tractor key with it...It was obviously a false alarm....

I spoke with my agent on the floor repair yesterday...Directing them to call me in advance and set up an appointment for the estimate of repairs...My Sis called earlier and the adjuster has come and gone...No call as directed....They wrote down the wrong number???????? You do say.......The adjuster told my Sis she would write some things down and if it should not be enough...yada...yada....A few years back while looking at an estimate I'd written on a car my agent stated that I had a poison pen....I write a detailed and accurate estimate...Trust one thing that dang estimate best well cover every repair needed or the adjuster can come right on back out...I ain't happy about this one dang bit...My poison pen has plenty of ink......

Slipped into the local brick and motar...The owner obviously listened as they now have Pro Tanks, Evods and T3s....20% off 6.95 for a 5 pack of Evod 2.5 coils....No vape mail needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I screw one on and no contact...The threads on my Dbox are simply to long for the Evod to make contact...A pull on the contact pin fixes this but when I remember I'll file those threads down a touch....Also grabbed a few 30ml needle tip bottles for quick fill ups...The DBox is now my go to unit...One fill a day...made easier with the needle bottle...Sashwa sent me a Trippy for it...vaping is easy peasy and I like that!!!!

I hope your insurance does you right Dee. They hate having the home owner walk around with them, because it usually means they can't neglect to notice things.

I've never been on the wrong side of the law, nor ever been treated badly by any. This was the first time I had to call deputies out to the house I used to have out in the Florida boonies, but it wasn't the last time. But after being on the phone with the dispatcher, (and her hearing me tell this numbskull kid that broke into the house that if he moved I wouldn't be taking a warning shot) I never had to wait for deputies to get there. I don't own any guns now, and honestly I'm not particularly fond of them, but they are a necessity when you live out in the country.

5c, I hope that car is easier on you than you expect.

The picture of the trippy is just to rub Wharfie's nose in the July 4th trippy I won. It's even prettier in person cause I take terrible pictures.
