I remember when that crime happened Dee, having grown up just outside of West Memphis. The only luck the convicted boys had was making it to trial alive. Railroaded all the way, with much hate and no real evidence. I've seen the documentary, and I saw the mob scene that wanted to lynch those boys first hand. Sad all the way around...for the victims' families and the falsely convicted's families.

Rainy chilly day here, afternoon everyone :)

That's good to hear Wharf. I'll always have fond memories of that place. I liked watching the surfers and going to concerts in that big glass bldg. I think it's Coconut Grove. Something like that.

LD they always have to make some one pay. Doesn't matter to them if it's the guilty person just as long as they get a conviction. Helps them move from prostitutor oh I mean prosecutor to governor. There's many many innocent people behind bars in the world and it's bs.

It's raining here too but when isn't it? It's supposed to get cold tonight.

5 you hit the nail on the head...The original trial judge is a Senator.....The original district attorney??? Ran for the judge's seat and got out voted!!!!!!!!

The year was 1972...I rode with my Grandpa too purchase a new pocket pistol...he took me along for my 12 year old opinion...He decided on a 1972 USA production Colt Junior .25ACP...Juniors came out in the 50s made in Spain by Astra...Safe Streets Act of 68 ended that....USA production ran from 70~73...I just unearthed all that info...Passed from Grandad too my oldest Uncle who passed and it became my middle Uncle's pistol...My youngest Uncle was N.A. of whome I've spoken about here before...He passed earlier this year...I'm not the oldest Grandson but like I said I was there when this gun was purchased...My Uncle Dave gave it too me today...Epic day for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got it all cleaned and greasy....busted those 4 bullets I got with it as well....I'll play with it for a bit and then sit it alongside Dad's Browning Hi Power 9mm....Both are long out of production and highly collectible...They will be here when I breathe my last....Count on that..........

Thanks everyone!!!!

I had too be selective with whom I shared my inheritence....There are some mighty greedy members in my family...

My Grandad was one tough dude...He didn't rest or vacation...nothing like that...Many were the times when it was just me alongside him working...Deep down I know if it had been his decision I would have received the pistol first....Uncle Dave knew that as well....

Made some phone calls this morning and found out that I don't have to use the Hartford Superior Court to file my divorce...woohoo!! I can us the Tolland County Superior Court in Rockville, which is only 10 or 15 minutes NE of me. They have a law library, and a staff dedicated to helping pro se clients fill out all the forms, organize everything, and make sure you get every form you need. The court clerk I spoke with also told me that I should contact Legal Aid again and ask for a supervisor, because she believes I qualify even tho the volunteer I talked to the other day told me I didn't.

What a difference a few phone calls can make! She also told me that I can request a list of Pro Bono attorneys. In CT most attorneys are required to do a certain number of Pro Bono cases per year :) Wow...what a relief! I've been buried in doubt and intimidation all weekend after talking to my extremely unhelpful local court clerk, who treated me like I was chit on the bottom of her shoe.

I wouldn't miss that type of person either 5c. Not one bit!

The funny part is they didn't lose out on nothing. My daughter was taking care of my sister so when she passed my daughter got the house. That's how they see it. Problem is the house had more owed against it than it was worth plus my daughter paid for her funeral. I didn't see anyone in line to help her pay for that.

Bo I'm very happy for you. It's about time you hooked up with the right people.
