Made some phone calls this morning and found out that I don't have to use the Hartford Superior Court to file my divorce...woohoo!! I can us the Tolland County Superior Court in Rockville, which is only 10 or 15 minutes NE of me. They have a law library, and a staff dedicated to helping pro se clients fill out all the forms, organize everything, and make sure you get every form you need. The court clerk I spoke with also told me that I should contact Legal Aid again and ask for a supervisor, because she believes I qualify even tho the volunteer I talked to the other day told me I didn't.

What a difference a few phone calls can make! She also told me that I can request a list of Pro Bono attorneys. In CT most attorneys are required to do a certain number of Pro Bono cases per year :) Wow...what a relief! I've been buried in doubt and intimidation all weekend after talking to my extremely unhelpful local court clerk, who treated me like I was chit on the bottom of her shoe.

^^^Woo Hoo!!!!^^^ Let's get it started indeed!!! That is the best news I've heard all day girl!! I do believe we will have one big online party in the Notcigs house when this is over for you Bov! ;) YES!!!

The funny part is they didn't lose out on nothing. My daughter was taking care of my sister so when she passed my daughter got the house. That's how they see it. Problem is the house had more owed against it than it was worth plus my daughter paid for her funeral. I didn't see anyone in line to help her pay for that.

Bo I'm very happy for you. It's about time you hooked up with the right people.

I know this all too well too 5c. Sucks!

Thanks guys and gals...still a lot to do, but at least I know I'll have some help to wade thru it all :)

Speaking of inheritance, Katie's financial adviser told her that if she doesn't change her will to take Kevin off, the state will seize everything that he gets to pay for his incarceration. She doesn't want to pay a lawyer to change it, says she doesn't care where it goes when she's gone.

Bov I'd strong suspicions the first clerk was full of sheet and help was available....That clerk must be related too my mail lady....I suspect the will can be handled without a big check too the lawyer as well...First things first though!!!!!!!!!

I had a sinus blockage and touch of a virus today....Couple times there it was touch and go...Feeling much, much better now....

My Father drove big rigs, welded and before the 70s economy crush was fleet and used car manager for the local Ford Dealer....He hooked his dad up with a "72 LTD with a 429 and all the rest of the goodies...Grandad passed in "77 and that car was still as new....GrandMa never drove in her life....My dad had been at the hospital when Grandad passed...I'll never forget that as I'd stayed up for the late night "Rasslin" show and saw him coming back earlier than expected...Anyway there were arrangements and stuff too be made and Dad was out lining things up for the funeral...My out of State never did nothing too contribute Uncle had taken Grandma down too the DMV and had the LTD put into his name for the princely sum of $400....What it was worth IDK...Multiples of $400 at any rate...Had it not have been for me Dad would have hurt his Brother...It was all I could do too hold him enough for my Uncle too make a hasty exit...For my efforts I got a solidly swollen shut eye from Dad's elbow too parade around the funeral home with....It never was the same after that and when my Dad passed untimely my Uncle really took it hard...He still tries his best these days...I guess he burdens a lot of guilt....Best too be a good boy as you go...at the drop of a hat it can be too late too repay your sins....That would only be one story of greed from my little book...

I'll just keep rolling on,,,,,giving thanks too the Lord above.........Robert Plant
