A coat of sleet here, but it's mostly melted now. 2 to 4inches of snow tomorrow afternoon. There is a water main break down the road from us, so we have brown, dirty water and a boil order. No idea what happened since our local news didn't elaborate.

The day can only get better from here lol

Off and on lake effect here, starting tomorrow.

Reworking the living room addition at camp, I added supports to the one part of the sidewall that I need to do new sheathing/siding on in the Spring, contemplating what to do with the ceiling. The current drop ceiling takes it down to about 7-1/2', I'm thinking of getting rid of that, installing drywall, so it gets back to just under 8'. Add a couple of ceiling light fixtures, and a new low profile ceiling fan/light combo. (the current fan/light package is the opposite of low profile, I hit my head on the light fixtures if I don't pay attention :) ) There's some lighter weight 1/2" sheetrock out, only 40# a 4x8, that might make things pretty manageable.

Wifie's comment on seeing the attic was "ooh, you could store stuff there", but it's only 2x4 on 16" spacing, just under 12' span. I may end up doubling-up a small section, switch to an 8" OC, for storage of bulky-but-light stuff, but I haven't decided if it's worth it. Alternately I leave it alone, but can upgrade the insulation, pick up another 6" in a second layer, which would be a good step towards updating it for more year-round use. Decisions, decisions...

We have that same forecast Tracy, and it created a full blown temper tantrum with Katie today. For the last 2 weeks she's been on a grocery shopping strike, saying that she's been spending too much on food. Every time I go to the store she gives me a list of things to pick up for her. She's been fussing for the last 3 days about needing to go do her own shopping, but kept putting it off. When she heard the noon weather report she started in on how God is so mean to her, every time she wants to go somewhere  I was cleaning my woman cave, in the middle of mopping the floor and she asks me to take her to do her grocery shopping because...are you ready...she didn't want to get her car slopped up on the wet roads!! I told her that keeping her car clean didn't constitute an emergency in my world so if she wanted to get home before dark she should probably get going

She's still not speaking to me...which is not necessarily a bad thing, but she got her shopping done ;)

He's a handsome young man 5...Looks like he's also gonna be a big fella....

Mom purchased some scarf/sweater thing or the other and it was to big....She decided to gift my Cousin with it...My Cousin whom lives 150 miles away...Her family lives near and I overheard Mom talking with my Aunt....My Aunt was offering her Son to stop by and pick up the stuff....No don't trouble him with that I'll get Dee too run it up there...Wait a MFing minute.....WTH???????? That's 40 miles round trip,,,,I guess old boy is to busy smoking crack and stuff too be bothered....Me on the other hand I'm never too busy to be stopped dead in my tracks...Feeling your pain there Bov....That damn sweater will never ever get carried anywhere by me....Trust that....

Mark sometimes I feel the only good I get from a second home are great construction skills....One day maybe all these odds can be overcome....I got a stock pile of 2X4s and 2X6s in the shop for further drying and making sure that when dry they don't get all warped up....Kiln dried but still not dry nor stable dimension wise...Don't get me started on the still dripping pressure treated stuff...

The weather is cold and wet...Miserable out there but it could always be worse....Ya'll stay safe up there!!!!!!!

My allergies flared last evening...Likely due to a trip too a friend who doesn't own a vaccum...They do however own cats and a wood heater that was blazing....I laid low all day and suffered...Tomorrow will be better............

Thanks Fran...I'm better but still not 100%...

Glad Katie is coming around....Sometimes the bills and stuff get the better of me...It's been a constant struggle for survival...Going it alone hasn't made it any easier....Hoping in 18 months or so I can look at making the last house payment in a lump sum....Until then the struggle continues....

I've been surfing....Kayfun Lite Plus.....Russian 91%....Just looking as purchasing isn't an option even with money...Staggering the cheaper mods and tanks out there now....I thought I was big dogging it back in the day with my Totally Wicked 5 hole charger....It took those batteries with the simulated "cherry" lite on the end...fed by a cartridge that won't worth a dern....I can remember when the drip tip was invented...You stand a better chance getting a Russian 91 as you did getting a drip tip back then...Then one nite cruising this forum I came upon a dude whom used a Corvette as his avitar....talking with Buzzkill about some variable voltage thing...Then a long time later I got a Buzz complete with a screwdriver in the mail...We paid a lot of dues in those early days...Newbies these days have no clue at all...I saw a DNA 20 tube mod earlier that looked killer too me...probably expensive as heck 'cause it looked it...They were raking it over the coals....Same with the new Innokin mod...Looked kinda like my SureFire flashlight too me....They're bashing it for looking like a gernade...Can't be seen in public with that!!!!! Opinions are more than plentiful...
