Off and on lake effect here, starting tomorrow.
Reworking the living room addition at camp, I added supports to the one part of the sidewall that I need to do new sheathing/siding on in the Spring, contemplating what to do with the ceiling. The current drop ceiling takes it down to about 7-1/2', I'm thinking of getting rid of that, installing drywall, so it gets back to just under 8'. Add a couple of ceiling light fixtures, and a new low profile ceiling fan/light combo. (the current fan/light package is the opposite of low profile, I hit my head on the light fixtures if I don't pay attention

) There's some lighter weight 1/2" sheetrock out, only 40# a 4x8, that might make things pretty manageable.
Wifie's comment on seeing the attic was "ooh, you could store stuff there", but it's only 2x4 on 16" spacing, just under 12' span. I may end up doubling-up a small section, switch to an 8" OC, for storage of bulky-but-light stuff, but I haven't decided if it's worth it. Alternately I leave it alone, but can upgrade the insulation, pick up another 6" in a second layer, which would be a good step towards updating it for more year-round use. Decisions, decisions...
