All of our municipalities are running out of salt. That's pretty bad for a New England state.
That is pretty sad. I don't think they ever run out here. The State has 2 sheds here in town. One for salt and one for sand.
Here's Katie's newest obsession...we are using the snow blower too much and need to clear the drive by hand, or the blower might break down

Back to the normal{almost} day to day here..."68 Camaro coming Monday for some body repair...
Our Guvvnerr took office 1/13....Previously the Mayor of Charlotte and a Duke Energy lawyer for 28 years.....Duke Energy bought Progress Energy about this time and became the Nation's largest energy provider...The Southern Enviromental Law center sued Duke in 1/13 due to contamination of ground waters near the Dan River Plant...The Clean Air and Water Act says after intent to sue is filed the State or Feds have 60 days to intervene but action must be taken to rectify the situation...The SELC filed two more suits concerning two other Duke plants...All 3 times the State stepped in blocking the suits...Result...$99,111 fine and no clean up required...Then the Dan River Plant spewed its contents resulting at this point as the third largest ever coal ash spill...There is no way possible the Dan can be cleaned....2 days back the Feds launched a criminal investigation...To little too late for the Dan....IMO the Guv should join Christy in the unemployment line...

Hi guys! Oh wow! I can handle snow but just drove home thru ice/sleet. The roads were okay but the darn windshield kept icing up. Anyways, safe travels for all of you! This has been the nastiest/cold winter since I moved to Wisconsin. I have had it! LOL....till next year. I can't afford to move. No jobs in the South.
Bo that used to be one of the first questions you ask when buying a used car. Is it an eastern car or western because the ones from over that way usually han the body ready to fall of from rust. That salt eats up metal like a grinder.

Unless I have totally lost my mind, Pokeys birthday is in October. Today is tgcrna's birthday. Yep tg's is 2 days after Valentines and Pokey's is 2 days after my great nephews birthday.

And no, Tibs, you were not entirely mistaken...it is my birthday, just not my birthday birthday. Today is the day, 4 years ago, I took my first drag off an e-cig using a pre-filled cart of a Gawd-awful, high nic, chinese tobacco concoction that convinced me, despite itself, that electronic cigarettes might really work for me
I had lurked here at ECF for a while before joining, having purchased the pretty little automatic m401 in the pic below (yes, the tip glows pink) before having to sign up to troubleshoot my way through to the next round of PVs.
A few e-cig variations and several months later, at Salem's coaxing, I purchased my first Buzza beautiful, blemished purple one. More blemished now than then but still working as well as ever, it was the device that got me off cigs for good. I love my Buzz and all that it stands for. Thanks, Mike.
So, today is in fact a birthday of sorts for me. It is the day that marks the first day of my life as a vaper.
