Thank you for your sympathies. Liz has a plot so that's where her urn will go.

It's interesting how different families deal with these issues. Tide, my personal opinion is pretty much the same as yours. My body will become just a shell and I won't care what anyone decides to do with it. But you'd be surprised at how horrified and offended some people are by my opinion.

Howdy everyone! Been a few days, but this time I took the time to read every post since my last visit.

First Bov, I am very sorry to hear about Aunt Liz, last I read she was getting better and heading the right direction (my bad for not reading the first few pages) I am sorry for being late but my sympathies go out to you and the family.

Good to hear mod, I'm hanging in there! Spring break for my middle dd this week. Yesterday I took her to get her nose piecred. I couldn't say no because her older sister got it done too. Been a busy week!

hahaha Bov @ Pimp for Peeps! :)

How old is she. Alexis made me do it when she was 13 about a year ago.

hahaha I know Bov, I asked her if it feels like that and she said without a doubt it does! (YUCK) She tried talking me into it but I told her I am way too old for that stuff. I have my belly pierced, and 4 holes in each ear lobe and one cartilage done. That's it for me! That damn cartilage took like a year to heal. No thanks!

Looks cute on the girls though.

I don't have any tats, but I got my cartridge pierced last April. It hurt pretty bad for about 8 months. But then I went back to the place that pierced it and had them put an ring in that was one gauge smaller (I think my piercing was a 16 gauge and I had them put an 18 gauge ring in) And just like that it stopped hurting. Every now and again if I sleep on that side for to long it starts hurting, but I roll over and it goes away. I think it will always hurt if I sleep on it for too long.

But no nose ring for me!

I'm a big Steven King fan and some of the movies follow the books well and some not. I guess you can't expect too much from the translation.

I'm still waiting to see how they screw up the Dark Tower movies! Don't know if you have read them, but there is another book in the series coming out any day now!

My step mom brought over my dads guitar and an old photo of his old Mustang. He carried this pic in his wallet with him everywhere.

Bov I'm not horrified or offended at all. My opinion is burn me and throw my ashes-urn and all off the top of Mt. Wsahington.

    Thank you Moo.

Mod, I'm glad you got that beloved picture that your dad carried with him, and his guitar. What a beauty and a treasure!
I got a little teary eyed when I saw the pic again. First thing I did with the guitar was buff it to a shine. Had some wax residue that wasn't completely buffed out. Then tuned it and played it until my fingers were too sore to hold the strings down.

Hell I cannot read this thread any longer thank goodness my wife thinks I only get teary eyed when I'm sick, and thank god right now I got one nasty cold. Anywho I was able to buy the house I grew up in a few years ago, now my father did not die in this house but everywhere I look I see his ghost and even though I have done extensive renos around there are still places that I have not touched. One where he went forward instead of backwards and accidentally drove through the garage wall. The wall was fixed but the plaster job is the same as it was 40 yrs ago. I will fix that wall in fact sooner than later. There are a few more pieces around that I can save of his.

My wife is still cleaning up the mess her Grandmother left when she died 2 years ago, ( i'm not trying to be mean but do you really know how deep the rabbit hole is ? ....poor Grandpa neither does he). Sometimes Bulldozers are easier.

    Excuse my ramblings
    Paul

PS on the bright side my Blue BP will soon have a mate.

My mom has been gone 7 years and sometimes something will hit my out of the blue and send me into a squalling fit. I guess we never really get over the loss of a parent.

We bought my hubby's grandmother's house when she passed in '06, completely remodeled it, pulled up all the carpet, refinished the pine floors underneath and tiled the rest of the house. There is nothing here to hold a scent but every once in a while we open the front door and it smells like Granny's house again. She still comes to visit us.

(((hugs))) Mod, what a cool car! I'm glad you have the picture and guitar. Hope it fills you with fond memories each time you see/play it.

    Moo,
My daughter is 16. I let her have her belly pierced for 8th grade graduation, just like I did her older sister. The nose piercing is doing well, thank goodness! She is thrilled with it.

Sabre I can relate to the bulldozer. Aunt Liz lived in the house their parents bought after they immigrated here from Poland. All the kids were born there. Unfortunately it's in an area of Hartford that is nothing but ghetto now. Liz was also a hoarder...thank goodness we're not the ones having to clean out the house to get it ready for sale. It sits on 4 lots, but most likely whomever buys it will bulldoze the house.

That was beautiful Mod, I bet some very nice music was coming out of it. I hope you get many years of playing out of that guitar. Well that is assuming you can play guitar.

Sorry for everyone's loss. My mom is still with us, I couldn't imagine her not being here.
