Bov....The whole age thing...Mom is 84 now...Family from out of town expect things to be the same as they once were...Sis and BIL...sometimes I don't think they consider her age either...Myself I try and compose myself when need be...

Sealing the basement depends greatly on where the water is coming from....no option will be cheap...

Working on removing some rotted floor joists this afternoon...Pulling ring shank nails....3 1/2 inch staples....glue....Most of this job is in the proper preparation...It's beating my azz...

Weather report calls for much less humidity...Temps they say could be 70....could be 80??? Yeah that's what they said...Some gradient or something....Key word no damn tornadoes...

Morning everyone :)

Great to hear you have some good weather Dee. Looking very nice here as well!

As for the basement, still water coming in but slowing down a bit. Should stop if the weather holds for a few days. We go through this talk about fixing it every time we get water down there, but nothing ever gets done. Not my house, not my money to talk about spending to fix it.

Good afternoon everyone and TGIF!!!

So happy those wicked storms are over for everyone and we're all here to gab about it! I get no running water, thankfully, BUT seepage and wet looking areas in a spot or two. My ex is a mason, so I'll be running it by him. The last time I mentioned it to him he advised me to wire brush the walls and reapply Drylock paint. It gives me fits thinking about it as there is so much crap down there to move. Yes they do make big bucks so I know those repairs can be costly.

I hope you all have a good weekend!

Joc is home for good now...YAY!!!! She surprised us yesterday and pulled up outside beeping. (Of course I cried!) Her Dad is picking her up tomorrow to head down for the big stuff and the stuff that she couldn't fit in her car.

I'm vaping a combo of banana cream pie and vanilla custard. Does anyone know if diacetyl is still present in the custard line? Thanks, I haven't kept up with it lately but wondering if someone has figured a way to remove it.

Wonderful news about Joc, Tracy!!

Katie veto'd having any work done in the basement. Her house, her money.

Are you vaping pre made juice, or DIY? There are very few flavors left that contain diacetyl, but it's hard to know about pre made. Most of the flavor companies now list on their site if a flavor contains it or any of it's diketone cousins. Custards could fall into that category. The FA Condensed Milk that I use as one flavor in my Caramel Coconut does still contain diacetyl...the reason I don't like to make it for anyone else without at least making sure they know.

Diacetyl....No mix is worth adding that sheet....Removing it totally killed the once king of vapes....Waffle...Someone now has a diacetyl free butter...Capellas I think.....

New floor joists mostly in...Note both the tub and toilet drains interfere with joists...it's a dang engineering disaster...While working that out I stepped down to ground level from the floor...5 gallon bucket used as a step flipped and introduced my leg to the clean out plug on the main drain...It damn near broke my leg...gaulded it for double dang sure...I'll take pics when the color comes in as I'm sure it will be nice....2X6s I was carrying pinned my pinky finger to the wall as well...huge ... blood blister from that...Gotta suck it up and keep on keeping on...Tub/joist/drain uncertainties and drained batts on my driver....well I'm punting...Going after the tub so the additional joists will be located correctly...Mid-night run thru Carolina so I can be in Garner between 10~12...Open 2 hours on Saturday...better than none I guess.......

Thanks Bov and ElDee!

It's premade juice and it's good but I was red flagging it when I read the word "custard", then each time I cough (left over from cold I had) it makes me wonder.

So I suppose it's fine, but I will most likely vape it occasionally. Stuff skeers me!

Gee whiz ElDee, you'll have some battle scars for sure from that project! Be careful!

Well it's past my bedtime guys so I'll talk to you all tomorrow. Make it a great night!

Well....good morning folks! Its good to see there are some DIY ers in here. This is uncharted territory for me that I will probably embark on soon.It just makes sense. MY Buzz is still buzzing! As a matter of fact, the Sigelei 20 watt and my Buzz are my go to devices. Let me tell you, the Buzz Pro holds its own most of the time against the 20! Anyway....have a great day!!
