Spike looked better this morning..The swelling had gone down some and a scab was forming...I kept him nearby and kept a good eye on him...Mid-afternoon he slipped off and dug his wound out pretty good. Then he got to acting extra lethargic...I'd been told last night the Vet was open till 5...I raced over at 4pm and yeah...they closed at noon...The emergency number on the door sent you 75 miles up the road to another town and a Vet that I know to be extremely high priced...I fashioned a bandage with the cuff of a sock along with a gauze pad coated with neosporin...then watched him like a hawk...I slipped out earlier to PetSmart for the collar of shame...a cone...I think it's called a collar of shame as they get one when neutered..IDK for sure...I grabbed a pack of boneless chicken thighs as well...Spike has shown little interest in food of any kind...I boiled the thighs and cooked some rice...He's full now!!! Been giving him milk and offering water to try and keep him hydrated...I found out at PetSmart they have a Vet that will be there tomorrow...If old boy does not show major improvement in the am we are headed that way. The hours at the PS are much more flexible and 7 days a week as well...It's an option as it seems these things never happen when the dang Vet is open...Thing that worries me is he looks like he's getting thru this and then turns the other way///Being it happened @9pm Thursday night also concerns me...When he scratched it today there appeared to be a hole...The neosporin and watching him like a hawk have that looking much better though...It's been a long day...Whatever he needs he will get...and then some..

We received an extreme amount of rain today...Couple that with record rains for the past month and things are not looking good...Forecast is for some drying out with scattered showers...IDK whatever happened to the Tropical Storm that was headed this way...I know it was down graded...any amount of wind with the ground this wet will be devastating to the trees...Hopefully things will dry out.

That cow is just a pic I grabbed off the web, I'm not Edward Scissorhands  I do love the idea of bending wire to make a cool frame for the morning glories to cover tho! Maybe next year that would be a sweet project. My morning glories have gone nuts and are gorgeous, but the moon flowers that I mixed in are still not blooming. I read that in New England, they prefer the shorter summer days, so maybe I'll get some blooms in August or Sept.

Dee, thank you for updating us on Spike. I'm wondering the same thing that I'm sure you are...did someone shoot at him, or pop him with a pellet gun :( Poor little guy, my heart hurts for him, and you too as his dad. If he's still not wanting to drink water, you can use Pedialyte for infants in a mild flavor (info from my vet for Chase) If he won't drink it, you can do the syringe method of squirting some into his mouth, or even try squirting just plan water. Please do take him to the vet in the morning even if he seems to be doing better!

Afternoon all!

Spike was better this am but after yesterday we went too the Vet. Everything checked out OK except his temperature was 100.5 and should be 101.5...I got antibiotics and plenty of chicken and rice...He's on the mend and as long as he doesn't dig it out we will be good...The Vet said he looked like a CheWahWah....I dug into the breed when I rescued him...A perfect picture example of a Mini Pin...

The PetSmart Vet's assistant tried to sell me on a monthly payment for dog care...They will even draft payment directly from my checking....Does it never end...They also wanted to boost his vaccines...Personally I felt he needed to get clear of this before we shot him full of other stuff...I quizzed the Vet on a 24/7 365 Vet and she didn't wanna help....NCSU...yeah the home of the WolfPack has the contrie's best Vet school...and a 24/7 365 emergency room...My copperhead eradication program looks to have worked...Still you gotta be prepared...I found 2 Vets open 24/7 and soon I'll have thier numbers on my phone and fridge....

Bov we have several Moon Flowers...They are blooming each night right now...Everything is growing well with all the rain....

I'm mixing later this evening...Dropping to 12ml/mg from 18...WaffleStomper said "This is a means to an end"....I guess he was successful in his attempt to remove nicotine from his life...Time to start heading that way.....

Evod and ProTank coils....I have PT coils I purchased when I bought the tank....Evods that came with the DBox and Evods I purchased locally in both 2.2 and 2.5 ohm...The PT coils are the only ones in the mix that last worth a dang....I'm suspecting keeping up with demand or knock offs to be responsible...Anyone got and Evods recently they're satisfied with?????

Beautiful Baldwinsville (CNY)
Busy weekend, got one of the AC installed at camp, another to go.

DW and I got in some kayak time, and went for a swim on this beautiful sandy portion of the lake. I still haven't been diving there, need a spot with some depth, but it sure is a beautiful place :) Our end is shallow, you can stand up at over 100' offshore, but there are fairly few houses, a lot of undeveloped stretches - many birds, fish often popping out.

LD, you might want to try 15. One of the beauties of diy is it is easy to mix intermediate points, and dropping just a couple mg at a time is easier to do.. I'm running 8 mg/ml now, likely stay at this level for some time. When I'm dropping levels, I give myself about 3 weeks at one number before the next step down; my consumption goes up for a day or so, but by 3 weeks I'm totally fine with doing another drop.

Dee, I had to use our Animal ER in Jacksonville several times when we still lived in Florida, and I'm fortunate that we have one within 10 miles to us here. I haven't had to use the one here but I made sure I know how to get there...just in case. I'm relieved to hear that Spike is doing better and I don't care what that vet called him, he's a bad ... min pin to us!

Mark, you sound as happy as a pig in a mud hole with your new camp, and I'm tickled for you and wifey! I know you knew all your hard work would be worth the effort or you wouldn't have bought the place. It's great hearing how much you two are enjoying the place :)

Yay Tracy!! Finally some pool time!

I need one of these, some solar panels and a composting crapper, and I'd be all set! Oh...and a place to park it!

Tracy I usually let a fresh coil sit in the tank for a bit before vaping...Then I blow out the first few hits...You may soak it in alcohol{PG, vodka} prior as well if the taste bothers you....

Mark what you suggest makes way more sense....I cut to 18 from 24 a few months back...My formulas are now written in 12...I'm gonna suck it up and get on down the road....

Well steeped Purple Haze running thru a Mt. Dew drenched coil.....Very complex and quiet pleasing...I often thought a little Mt. Dew might mix well with the Haze....

My Trippy Tip has gone too Heaven.....Snapped in half....RATTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bov I've lived around many CheWahWahs in my day.....never did learn to spell that though....I see many dogs being represented as pure breed...Spike is a prime example of a Mini Pin...The Vet....well she did sell me the antibiotics I wanted...Maybe she was a cat person?????????

The little house on the trailer is sweet!!!

My cousin is in the boat market...3 times now I've scheduled time to look at a boat with him....3 fails...Today's boat ride was put off until Tuesday....Well it's been raining but not today....Forecast is clear for the next few days and I can see an opening for a beach trip Monday evening....I'm pulling a "Mark" and hauling azz!!!!!!!!! Sand between the toes here I come.....Boat be damned....
