I have one of these Drill Snakes worked good the 1 time I used it, pretty easy and I think it was around $15 but not sure. Anyway cheaper than a plumber or chemicals in the long run. Won't thaw drains tho.

I had to remove the trap from the set tub in the basement last year for a clog, but it was easy to get to. I didn't have a drain snake so I used a wire coat hanger, but we still ended up having to call a plumber. The kitchen sink drains into the same main pipe as the set tub, so I'm guessing the clog is beyond where I can reash with a snake. Old cast iron main drain. Before I used the drano, I used the plunger and got a ton of what looked and felt like cast iron rot flakes and chunks. There was no other crud or grease with the plunger. Sure hope that main pipe doesn't need replacing, but that's my concern.

We're still at 24 Fran

We're catching a storm as I type...High wind advisory with possibility of downed trees...I've already seen some downed limbs...Raining with the occasional spit of snow...Like I said last week all that's left is clear, calm and warm....Sooner rather than later pleeze....

Bov I've got a couple of snakes...I also have this thing that attaches to the hose....slide it in the pipe...turn on the hose and it blasts the clog free...Works pretty good to...Any big box should have them..

Power out as of 1am....
