Very windy, raining and cold with a high of 53* predicted....

Doppler indicated a storm with rotation that tracked directly over us...Damage reported in Garner though no indication a tornado reached the ground...Funnel spotted about 15 miles away just before dark by trained observers...We got flooding and still raining...Professional Bullet Dodger...My new title....

Carbon -12....I'm pretty ding dang sure the weather indicates we've burned a little too much coal....Carbon -12 is scientifically proven to be the leading cause in Climate Change...Only Produced by burning coal...Don't get me started on Duke Energy and the coal ash situation here in NC...Kill our rivers...kill our air....kill our land....Shameful when a Outlaw becomes an enviromentalist...Guess I'm off to design a storm bunker....

Haha, thank you 5c! I needed that giggle

We have a lake in our basement and water coming in faster than I can shop vac it up. I got a little creative thinking going. Took an old 2" foam mattress topper that was in the basement, cut it up into manageable sizes and put them over the worst of the leaks in the floor. Still have to go down about every half hour tho.

Dee...Duke Energy, yeah. Been keeping track of all that, along with all the top gov't officials who were career Duke before elected. Hopefully they are soon to reap a lot of what they sowed!

Glad to hear you have nice weather Moon. Bet you had your share of the bad before we got it.

Katie is on the edge of changing her mind about using the sump pump, if I can find the damn thing! Not sure how it works when you don't have a sump well to put in down in. I'll have to go over to the neighbor's and see how they are doing it.

Riding the back cut too Chapel Hill today I ran up on a head on collision...Something happened between a car, SUV and a group of 15+or- bicycle riders...The area is around Jordan Lake and popular for cyclists. The SUV occupants I never saw nor heard anything condition wise...Sisters of 2 and 5 had left by ambulance...Their father was on his way to pick up the wife/mother who worked at Food Lion where I got the info...Sadly he did not make it...I stopped a little ways up the road and had a talk with the man hizself....

That's a long curvy road offering little opportunity to pass...15 bikes...HellYeah I'd be getting a little anxious to pass...Few years back a friend was towing his racecar in an enclosed trailer when he brushed a bicyclist...Let's just say he ain't got a racecar noooo more....I've seen news reports time and again about cars vs. cyclists...always share the road stories....Now I ain't against cycling one little bit...fact is I'm getting a bicycle soon....none of that spandex sheet and I sure as Hades ain't ahhhh wearing one of those helmets...single speed///coaster brake only!!! Bet your sweet azz I won't be blocking traffic with it...
