Thank you for all the love everyone. Maddie and I sure appreciate it!
Just a quick update before turning in...her white counts are just slightly elevated but not enough so that it would be her appendix. (Great news) however, we still do not know why. Her temp is 100, so there is something going on. Not vomited since at the lab, even after eating dinner.
I'm liking this new doctor very much. He wants me to bring her in again tomorrow free of charges to recheck her, read her X-rays that I have on cd, and have her pee in a cup to check for UTI or kidney infection. He gave me his cell phone number (what dr does that anymore?...I'm impressed) with instructions to call him if her temp goes higher, she cries in pain or gets worse in any way through the night.
A class act if I do say so myself! I just may be switching her to him as the primary pediatrician.
I will keep you posted after tomorrow's visit. Love you guys and gals!!!

5 I'm a bit baffled by the long wait to see the Doc when you have an appointment scheduled...Every time I see the Doc it's always only for a few minutes...Sit an hour...3 minutes w/the Doc....Looks like they could stay on schedule fairly easily....

LD It just goes by how much time they have to spend on the patients before you. I had an AM appointment this morning and was in to see the doc in a couple minutes. Happens every time I have a PM appointment at almost every doc. If he sees 10 people before you and is 5 min. over on each that makes them over an hr. late. That's why I always try to make AM appointments.
I ask him about my eyelid being half open and he said it grew that way from being sewed shut for so long but wants lo leave it that way for now. Looks like H E double toothpicks. I'm going in to see another doc next week to see if they can get a gas permeable contact to work. If not I go for another transplant.

5c, I'm sorry you are going through so much with your eye....but I'm sure you're just as handsome as ever!! You hang in there.
Rainy and chilly here today, blah. A damp 43 here at the moment. Tomorrows a little better with Sunday even nicer. (55 & 61)
Ok, so the latest is that Madison does not have a UTI or kidney infection....BUT he did see something on that xray (possibe pneumonia) so he's having both the lab re run something on yesterdays bloodwork, and he's having the radiologist take another look at that xray. If it is pneumonia he will order antibiotics and that will be that! Oh I hope so.
She is doing much better today so far. Her pain is lessened, her fever broke by the time we got to his office and she looks a bit better too. I'm happy for that! Oh and she also slept through the night last night for the first time since Sunday.
He is still concerned about the possible scoliosis. Wants me to take her for an xray of her spine sometime in the near future. He said at this age they will just do periodic xrays while she's growing to keep an eye on it. (I am NOT a fan of a lot of xrays)

I tossed together my own version of Snake Oil this morning and am letting it steep a bit. I didn't want to order the Bav Cream just for this recipe unless my version leads me to believe it's a keeper. I reversed the percentages on the coconut and pear so that the pear won't be the predominant flavor, amd I used FA Fresh Cream in place of the Bav Cream. It will still get me close enough to tell if I'll like it. I'll test drive it later tonight or tomorrow

So not out of the woods, but much better, that's good to see. I just hate to hear about kids suffering, even when it's just a TV story I have to turn it to a different channel.

The local B&M's Banana Cream Pie is tasty too. I just got my 3rd bottle of it tonight. I can taste the coconut in there as well as the banana cream. Yummmmm!!!

The recipe I found calls for:
5% Pear
3% Bavarian Cream
2% Coconut
Having used the FA pear in the past, and using the FA coconut all the time, I switched those two percentage wise.
