Heya all!
Raising funds for the American Diabetes Association again this year!
This year, I will be doing the 100 mile route (5.5 hours of riding + water stops)
My goal this year is to raise $500, and I am less than $50 away!

I could not imagine being able to ride 20 miles, let alone 100 miles, if it were not for my IPros keeping analogs out of my hand!

Key Facts about Diabetes
• 25.8 million Americans, 8.3% of the population, have diabetes
• 79 million Americans have prediabetes
• 1.9 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes every year
• 1 in 10 health care dollars is spent treating diabetes and its complications
• As many as 1 in 3 American adults will have diabetes in 2050 if present trends continue
• The economic cost of diagnosed diabetes in the U.S. is $245 billion per year
• Approximately 18% of pregnancies are affected by gestational diabetes
• Diabetes contributes to the death of 231,404 Americans annually

I saw on the news the US had it's first confirmed MERS virus case.....Also saw the patient may get out of the hospital today....Still....MERS.....Scary stuff...

I got issues with the neighbor's dog...I'll leave it at that....Let's hope she does the correct thing so I don't have to do the wrong thing....Spike will be safe in his own yard...Trust that...

Morning all!

Ark, I love that you are riding for such a great cause! Thank you for posting the info here.

Dee, I hope your neighbor lady does right by her dog, for her dog's sake.

Paint...I have some of that to do around here Fran. Last year I painted the doors and main body of the shed. This year I need to do the trim panels. Katie has the back steps and stoop wrapped with this gawd awful green turf carpet, and there's a piece of trim under the door that needs replacing because it stays wet too much. It's just a piece of quarter round, no big deal, but I've been trying to get her to let me yank that carpet off and let me paint it with Behr Deck Over. She's not too keen on the idea so far.

I have to take her to a podiatrist tomorrow. She's not gonna be a happy camper, he's going to yank off an ingrown toe nail 8-o

Afternoon all!!

Ark, that is a very good cause you will be riding for! :) My Grandfather was diabetic and so is my Aunt. Thank you for all you are doing!

Bov, Ouch! Poor Katie, those suckers are painful! Hope she isn't too bothered by it after.

Fran, My front porch sure could use another coat of paint, but oh Lord what a pain doing all of those ballisters. Awful job, which is why I've let it go this long. Rain for us from late tomorrow afternoon through late Thursday night.

ElDee, Take a rest from all that work! It'll still be there waiting for ya when you're up to it. As for Spike, he dang well should be safe in his own yard!!! Viruses? Ugh, I've had more than our fair share in my house this school year. Please, no more!

That MERS virus is nasty stuff....

I've not seen the dog here today...Hopefully he won't be back...I ain't got time for that.....

Doc trip for Mom in the am....Some foot doc as well....

90* here...I ain't complaining !!!!!!

Fran I believe the deck stain said the wood must dry for 30 days...If the wood is like here it's dripping with chemicals...The one rail I replaced last year when staining only got a couple of weeks dry time...30 good and warm days is about right...more being better...

Bov if that turf is glued down best leave that too someone else...

Tracy, get a painter's glove for those ballisters! We have wrought iron railings and I hate painting those...a painters glove makes it a lot easier.

Yep Fran, got that cold front moving through. Temps are supposed to be back up by the weekend here.

Dee, it is glued down. Probably need a dang grinder to get rid of the glue residue. The Deck Over paint I'm talking about goes on thick and has a texture to it, so no need to get the stairs perfect before applying.

Evening all :)
