Septic box will be in tomorrow and we can get our yard back in shape again and seeded where need be. Hoping to get the 3rd and last flower bed by the deck done tomorrow. Hope my back holds up. LOL.
Bov the last i read the bill was sponsored and supported by the Republican side...I did find a lone democrat in support...likely from Forsyth County the home of RJR...They got the coal ash thing to rectify but instead are fast tracking fracking and the e-cig thing...The tax as I've said I could live with...the tobacco wholesaler thing states anyone shipping into NC will be in violation...They try and keep that part quiet unless you dig into it...

Gonna head down tomorrow night and drop the vanity while picking up the tub...gonna be a lot of driving in a short period...Still gotta paint the vanity fronts but will likely just cut grass while waiting on my BIL to get off work...he's gotta help lift the tub and vanity top....

I also stand behind Aleve...Not sure if it's as dangerous as Tylenol but it sure has a profound effect whenever I have muscle/joint pain...I just roll with the regular old hard pills though...
Tub man just called to apologize for his attitude yesterday...Said some woman had just chewed him a new one over nothing...While I did notice he was rather standoffish he said what I needed to hear so I was good...Also informed me the surround was 52 inches high....I got 62 so good....If the new tub measures as it should....Game On!!!!!!!!

Dee, I read the bill, and it will be disaster for NC e-cig B&Ms as well as internet vendors based there. The tax is just a way to make it sound like they aren't going to put a lot of people out of work because they can't afford all the BS fees they'll have to pay. It was indeed sponsored but 2 republicans, passed on the 1st reading. 2nd reading is today, expected to pass and hit the Gov's desk to be signed into law this afternoon
The new law will force anyone who transports ANY vaping gear (not just nic) into or thru NC to be permitted, the fees for that will just bring the small industry to it's knees. BT will likely be the only one to afford to do business. What a crock of sheet!

Bov I always try and support local business...Therefore I get regular emails from the local B&Ms...This new law was unheard of last week and as you said will likely be law today...There was no time for reaction and even though widespread opposition quickly spread the legislature didn't give a damn...
Last week they had a special session and passed laws targeting the Moral Monday protesters.....They don't want any questioning of their ways...The new laws are vague at best and can be easily manipulated by the goon squad....They seem to forget"we the people" own the damn building...My bet is the new laws will be found un-constitutional...simply because they are...Several of the new laws made here recently have in fact been ruled un-constitutional....Like last week when forcing teachers to give up tenure and sign a contract was found un-constitutional....but they are the "Constitution Party"....damn glad I ain't a sheep....
Then we had the voter registration thing.....On the surface not such a bad thing...Then NC pandering to Koch and ALEC added their spin and cut early voting,,,,no same day registration,,,,no college students voting at school...they must travel home to vote....redrawing the districts for their advantage....Guess what....Un-Constitutional and thrown out....

.....but.....Coal Ash is fine....destroying the Dan River accidentally one week and then next week willfully pump the Cape Fear full of ash....so what does the Legislature do????? Fast track fracking and kill the e-cig industry....My hate is growing....
I'm just thankful that for a brief time I was able to find vaping and get off cigarettes...Those still smoking and wanting to quit will have a much more difficult time than I did...These are dark days in NC...Trust we are warriors and will not quit until we right this ship....One thing that really pisses me off....The newcomers to this state often post about how the Good Old boy mentality ain't working here no more...Us Good Old Boy's were just fine and dandy with a great state that we had built...Jobs up North went away and the immigration flood began along with the Good Old Boys comments...Now this...The last few years are the first time in the last 100 Republicans have controlled this state...Didn't take but a minute to head to hell in a hand basket....

I also have been working on a position within the schools cafeteria for next school year. That would allow me to always be home when Madison is. That is it's only perk, but a big one indeed.
I've offered to meet with the wife of the owner of our local B&M (who is the master mixer for the company) to discuss things. We will see. I definitely would like it better, but oh that drive!!!! Also, with all the crap going on now involving the industry, it makes me wonder just how long of a position it would be. Sux!

The outrageous tax for e-cigs is likely only the tip of the bill's iceberg there as well...I haven't looked into NJ's proposals. CT dodged the bullet for the 2nd year in a row here as they let the bill expire, and only banned sales to minors.
Thank you guys and gals on the info about replacing my MAP sensor a month or so ago...my car passed inspection today...YAY! Only have to have it done every other year here Also got my Dr. appt lined up for next Thursday. I expect Dr. Harding will send me for an MRI to get an official dx on my back. We'll see what that turns up and go from there.
