Ah yeah....the never ending tub saga...Upon arriving at the tub store today I smelled something burning...A quick look under the Ranger revealed the transmission front seal had given up the ghost...It was bleeding like a stuck pig...The tub??? it looks great and measured correctly...Not wanting to be stranded beside the road with a tub I left it there....Barely limping I scored 4 quarts of transmission fluid and left a streak for 75 miles down the road...Somehow it made it home...Gotta wash my nasty Dodge and head back for the tub...If it breaks down we got a problemohh!!!

It's great hearing news of kids doing great things with their lives...All the best for 1/2 and Lauren...I'm sure they will go far....
NC is in the news again...Fast track fracking....with no rules in place but you can get a permit in July...Destroy my enviroment and this could get nasty Son...GreenPeace is on the scene and I fully support any and all efforts of GreenPeace...
Then we had the whole teacher tenure thing struck down as un-constitutional...So yesterday they pass an even more restrictive bill saying no teacher pay raise unless tenure is given up...teacher pay tied to student performance....We ranked 48th in teacher pay last I heard...Some kids just don't give a damn about school nor grades....Making our teachers suffer....That ain't right...The bottom line....We got private school vouchers coming out of our taxes now...If you wanna send your kid to a private school fine and dandy....but....ON your dime Son...It was said the vouchers would allow more poor kids to attend private schools....BULLFEKKINSHEET...They want education privatized....Slaves don't need no schoolin"...This ain't 1860 Son...
At least fekkin everything up at a record pace gave us a small couple extra days free of Nazi vape Laws...Trust the DixieCrats are not very happy ATM...
The combination of stress/lawnmower/sheddin' pup just about blew my sinuses right on out...Huffing the pipe during the transmissions dying run likely didn't help either..Thanks to caffine and nicotine I feel better but still ill as a rattle snake...The Ranger will get fixed and the tub will get installed...Now to wash that nasty Dodge and get raped on some diesel fuel....
News came in that my cousin's lost their dad yesterday...My cousins are in their mid 50s so they had a good run with their dad...he fell and broke a hip last week and had a stroke during surgery...This ain't an easy bridge to cross...Praying for them and GodSpeed Uncle Calvin...

El Dee NC in the news makes me sad for the people. Those fascist shills you got in office got to go. Yep, the plan is to hurt the public school system so much they can go look see this isn't working we need a private system and then fat cats take over still supported by public taxes. Feel better Dee, rest some before you jump back in the middle of all that work. I'm sorry to hear about your cousins' dad. Moon nailed it, every day lately there is something in the NC air that stinks to high heaven!
Had a series of x-rays done at the Dr. office today, not too pleased with the results but things could always be worse. No herniated disks, but degenerative disk disease...mild at present. My lumbar area (which is where the pain is) shows osteoarthritis, also in my right hip. Some bone spurs on my spine in that area as well. Nothing to be done right now except Motrin, Flexaril when I have muscle spasms, stretching, and some strengthening exercises.
I love my Dr, he's got a great ease and sense of humor about him. Basically it's welcome to old age...it ain't for sissies

Back problems are no fun. I have spinal stenosis with sciatica pain at times. When the pain is unbearable, I use frozen peas as an ice pack. I put it between the back of my chair and my back. It helps some.

Sash, I like the frozen peas idea and have used it too. I used to get flare ups from the ulnar nerve in my elbow, and the frozen peas were great for that! I have the sciatic pain as well, and alternate between the cold pack and a heating pad. I remember you saying that you have back issues.
Fran, I know how often your hubby is hurting, and I'm sure that his is much more painful for him than mine. I just feel better knowing what the issue is, even if there isn't much that can be done.

The e cig tax is now law....Not sure if the tobacco wholesaler thing was removed but highly doubtful as I feel that was the main purpose of the law....RJR doesn't like competition..I don't like Nazi Vaping Laws but I'm a person not a corporation so I don't matter...Tons of other taxes passed against the little man today....Fracking also passed...I've gone from mad to bewildered...
Had mad chores at the farm...still got a ways to go before getting everything under control....Pressure washed and then hand washed the Dodge....looking pretty spiffy if I do say so myself...Tub purchase trip planned....What could go wrong???
