Well I'm all talk and no action on the drinking as usual! Lol sounded good at the time.
My liver loves me though! :)

Fran I'm sorry your camping weather could have been better.
ElDee I'm hoping it all comes together for ya with the Ranger buddy!
Bov I bought the coolest little lucky bamboo plant today! I've killed them before, trying again!!!

Dee I have no doubt that you'll get it all together, and at the best price.

LOL Tracy...I'm glad that I'm all talk about the drink myself :) The only bamboo I've grown was outside, it it's own contained area so that it wouldn't spread. I'll have to look up the lucky bamboo to see what you're talking about.

Sleep well Fran!

Well.....Summitt Racing and Rock Auto are happy campers tonight...and Hell Yeah I ordered the Hurst Shifter...Gotta scrounge up some pressure plate bolts next...I needed 6 and got 5...Least I know what they look like...

The automatic to 5-speed should yield more power, better mpg and higher towing capacity....Plus it a lot less likely to leak like the Valdez...That super fat Hurst Shifter may have had something to do with it also...

Fran we have property tax on cars, trucks , motorcycles, trailers and boats...Last year instead of a tax bill and then tag renewal they combined those...Now the Harley tag is $90 instead of the usual $30...Instead of two smaller hits now it's just one big hit...My Harley has been out since March 31st...Inspected and insured but not tagged...Ridden regularly though..I need to get by there...

Naturally as luck would have it I forgot two small items for the Ranger last evening...Largely in part to a vacationing friend calling on the phone...I got 10,000 things going and right ATM no way can I take a full day off for fishing...Any time at the beach must be spent on the bathroom...I need to be there soon as the grass is surely ready and the town just sent a neighbor a "cut it" or we will letter...I got one a couple years back...Kinda funny as the town's tax coffers are mostly paid by people owning vacation homes in town...I can see a lawn not being mowed for 6 months being in violation but 3 weeks??? The neighbors yard had some dandelions in full bloom and that got her the letter,,,Meanwhile junked boats and a solidly rotted to the ground 69 Firebird are A OK...No dandelions in bloom though....

That Property tax on vehicles is a scam. The truck I sold my SIL I licenced and it was okay. When he took it for the transfer the P-tax doubled. He took it to an agency though and they're going to get all they can. I go right to the overworked auditor who just wants to get the day over with.
Good luck on the Ranger 5-speed conversion Nuptuals LD.

I've not heard of a property tax on vehicles before. Unless it is a combined/hidden charge? My registration is $46.50 per year.

Now insurance?....Yeah, I live in Jersey. Nuff said! Plthhhhhhhhhh!~
If you look at the registration it has a break down of the charges. At least ours do.

The property tax and registration for vehicles is every other year here. The $83 I paid today is just the beginning! We live on the zone edge, so I'll also get a property tax bill from the 8th Utilities District for around $10, then my registration (tag renewal) will be about $130. Add the $20 I already paid for emissions inspection (that would have failed if I hadn't replaced that $30 part) and that's how Connecticut rolls. I'm just grateful that I was able to replace that MAP sensor with Fran, Dee, 5c, and the Hyundai forums help!!

Now I'm just a bit baffled that Katie is ...... off at me because I bankrolled the cash that I knew I would need to cover all of this...plus Chase's annual shots and rabies that will be due in August! Yep...she is ...... that I planned ahead! Something about holding out on her?? Because she gave me $10 to help cover Chase's city license? ......I just can't win with this woman

Just a warning: rant may not be over...there are still hours to go before she goes to bed.

My son and ex were staying a a friend of ours house that is an older female and the day before they were supposed to move into their new digs she came out ranting and raving. Told them to get out. They haven't a clue what the problem was. If it's any consolation Bo older males are the same.

I'll have to look closer at it 5er, it seems absurd that I have to pay a property tax yearly on a vehicle that I've paid taxes on when I purchased it. A little redundant. ;)

Tracy, some States have it some don't. Some have income tax some have personal property tax and other fees for income streams. Illinois has income tax, Missouri has personal property tax for instance. I'm guessing N.J. like Illinois doesn't have them.
