On one of the many quick trips too Lowes yesterday....El Deesaster struck...The parking lot is fairly level and I evidently left the monster Dodge outta gear...Sometime during my shopping she rolled back about fourty feet and smacked into two storage buildings...Pushed one about a foot...Little paint on my bumper...Other than that good!!! Stoked that a no car or person was involved...Unstoked that I came out to 5 or 6 employees and a deputy....soon to be followed by a narcotics officer and finally by the town cop who was the one handling this...By handle I mean he tried to make it more than it was...The leading and accusatory questions and one immediately ...... Dee...They say there are good cops out there...That I cannot verify and must conclude it's a rumor...A later trip....this time I left her in gear and set the brake....As I leave I notice two different undercover cops under the Lowes breezeway....the handheld radio gave them away...Likely methheads forgetting too pay...I saw pics a few weeks back when a ring was busted....How the hades does one shop lift a chainsaw?????

At the beach...Got the new vanity plumbed with a nice delta faucet...got the shower surround installed and trimmed out...Was planning on hooking the drains up but the wall board was a bigger coup and BIL was there to help position it...Next up drains and pex.....

Oh no Dee! I really hate it when I hear about cops treating people like sheet! I honestly have to say that all the ones I dealt with here have been good to me. Guess it makes a difference when since I was a woman dealing with the domestic crap, and the ex's drug and booze use was well known to them. Did you get ticketed and have to pay damages on the sheds?

Since Chase woke me up earlier than I'm used to getting up, I have already made the dog food run. Stopped on the way home for gas for the mower, and already got the yard mowed! As far as I know...the rest of the day belongs to me

I thank you both.
It is for now. Then back for 2 more but not as hard as this one. Just a couple things need done after this heals.

I don't know if i would be brave enough to back a second time..... it would take a good self talk to get in the car and head to that appointment.

i know you guys have herd me belly ache enough about living in the desert... but i do have kids and i would like for them to have grass to play in... not like sand castles aren't fun but they do loose there glamour when there is no water. is there a good spike in the water bill when summer hits and you start watering the yards? i know it would be a bit different for me but my wife and i have talked about wanting to put grass but with me being the only one working we have to watch our monthly spending kinda good.

My gosh!!! Its nearly impossible for a guy to take a nap with all the yacking and noise and hollering in this Forum!!

How you guys all doing? I heard 5CardStud was having another cornea transplant (I think he's really getting his ringdangdoo enlarged - with one of those air pumps, but don't tell him I said that!!) and thought I'd better stop by and say "hi" and see if anyone knows how he's doing.

El Dee, you have GOT to quit harassing those cops! The ones around here are terrible and they still give me a hard time every time I drive home on the sidewalk at 2:30 in the morning.

Fran, Bov, how are you sweet gals doing? I had a doctors appointment the other day and the young gal I had to check out with had the prettiest green eyes you've ever seen in your life! I couldn't help myself and had to tell her how pretty her eyes were and she gave me the biggest smile I've had in a long time.

But I didn't tell her that I had a horse with a head shaped just like hers. But I do ..... and she does.

Hey Clmarti78, we've never met, but I grew up about 70 miles south of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Just 10 miles or so above the border. That was back in the very early 1940's when I was born out there and things have changed a lot since then. Dangerous to go anywhere unless you have lots of armed friends with you. I've been to the Rio Rancho area many times and its really beautiful.

Down where I grew up there were only eleven girls in that part of New Mexico and seven of them were built just like me, so I came over to Texas to find a gal to marry and ended up having to live in Yeast Texas against my will and under the penalty of pain if I tried to leave. Boy, you never know a woman until you marry them!!!

Anyhow, I hope all you guys and gals are doing well and everything is going the way you want it to.

I'll be back to see you soon.

LD anybody that hires on to a job to push people around and enjoys the feeling of grandeur they get from their new position has issues best dealt with by a psychiatrist. The good ones hire on to help people and have no fantasies or desires to control anyone.

Tyranny

Whether it's a pushy person, a control freak, a bully, or an outright tyrant, the problem is the same: their goals are always more important than yours. A difficult, pushy person has gone too far again. They are bossing you around, acting selfish and self-important, threatening you, making demands, barking orders, and abusing their power.

(((TT))) !!!!!

It is SO GOOD to see you!!!! Man, a girl takes a bit of an internet break and misses THE ONE, AND ONLY TT in the house!!!! Dang! I sure do hope you come back to see us soon. :) We have certainly missed ya tons!

Fran, I am hoping we all have good weather this weekend. You for that camping trip, and us for the girls graduation picnic tomorrow.

ElDee, I'm glad the damage was not any worse and that no people were involved! Whew!!!

Bov, I hope you did get the rest of the day to yourself and are enjoying it.

Cl, I am not sure what to suggest to you about having to water grass on the daily, but it is one of the cheapest utilities around here. I water flowers once or twice per day, but that's only about 4 watering cans full. Maybe try googling it? HTH I know my dd loves romping in the grass. :)

5c, I hope your eye is not troubling ya much (or at all) today!

Hiya JerryRM. my darling Tracy, 5Card, El Dee and all you others!! Hey, its great to read you guys again!!

You talking about marriage or the Law????

Must be the Law. Wives aren't quite that bad!! Some of them anyhow!! In fact some of them are Sweetie Pies.

Hey, I got me one of those Kayfun things where you build your own coils. Nice little tanks, especially after I found out about the air flow adjustment. At first I was thinking that it would be easier to pull a vacuum on an onion sack. But I cheated and got some of those pre-wound coils and then I stuff cotton from New Mexico in it for a wick. I'm pretty sure that's what gives it so much good flavor.

Not much happening here in Yeast Texas. Just sitting around getting older and watching the molds and fungus's grow.

I still have my old plaid couch out in the front yard in the weeds by the bass boat. Any of you that have ever been to Yeast Texas know that everybody has a set up like that in their front yard. And I still have my stinky piggy, the lawn mowing goat and that chicken that I chopped its head off so I could eat it, but it never did die. That thing sure does make some funny noises for a chicken, but its doing well. It sucks bugs right out of the air, so its getting pretty fat and still loves to ride on the bush hog when I'm out mowing with the tractor.

It sure is fine seeing all you again!!!

Are you talking about Katie?!

Marti, we normally get enough rain here that we don't water the lawn. Out where you are, whew...that might get expensive! Especially when you first seed or sod and need to keep it watered daily for it to establish!

TT!!! So great to see you here  Miss having you around telling stories about your headless chicken and your plaid couch! I see that you even rousted a "like" from Kgj...we miss him too :)

Dee, I'll be sure to let you know when I head north...was up at Kure Beach and Wilmington not too long ago and thought of you as I traipsed across the border :) Sorry to hear about the truckscapade and, truthfully, not really sure how one shoplifts a chainsaw? Probably not too successfully but then again...

5c, so glad to hear that even though you have a ways to go, your eye is doing alright

Cl, I used to water my grass here. It doubled my water bill. Needless to say, I don't water it anymore. I am waiting for it to give up and die so I can just sweep the yard like my great grandmother did

Fran, I hope your weekend camping trip is wonderful! And Bov, I sure hope HRH has cut you a bit of slack and allowed you to enjoy your day in peace.

k5!!!!!! I thought of you when I saw 5c's collage!! And, like magic, here you pop in as well! :p backatcha!

Tracy? Like you...I miss a day and I miss a lot :D

Speaking of missing, my Kayfun arrived at my house today. Unfortunately, I wasn't here at the house and they took it back to the great big FedEx sorting facility some 40 miles away. For redelivery on Monday. At no specified time. Another lesson learned, take a risk and don't click the "demand a signature box."

I am roadtripping tomorrow to go get it. Yup, really. It's a better excuse than usual to not do the weekend housework stuff.

Supper's calling, catch up with y'all later!
