You and your son are in my prayers Fram. As far as the Seahawks go at least I'm used to it. They have gotten close too many times to count but close is all they ever get and that's only good in horseshoes and handgrenades. Always the same reason too, the coach always use their pet QB instead of using the best one they have.

How's he doing Fran? Much better, I hope!

I've been offered a Newegg.com - COMPAQ Presario V6107US(RG290UA) NoteBook AMD Turion 64 MK-36(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 512MB Memory 80GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 from a very sweet friend :) It was given to her and now that she has a better one she is PIF'ing it to me. Problem is she says the graphics chip has gone bad, which probably means a MB replacement. I'll test it on an external monitor to confirm and go from there, but I have found several sources for the MB ranging in price from around $60.00 and up. I don't have the skill to remove the graphics chip and solder a new one. But still a wonderful deal from a former ECF'er :)

Bo there's nothing to putting a mobo in them. I just got done doing one and have done quite a few. I will do it for nada but the shipping might be a killer. Try a power reset first and see if that helps. Just unplug it, pull the battery and hold the on button down for 5 sec.. It's worth a try. Also make sure the cable to the monitor is good and connected still. I just did one with the same problem and the monitor started working again.
