Have ya'll checked out the Amazon Lightning Deals? They got some fantastic pricing going.

I've been watching but it is all stuff I do not want or need and the few things that I wanted are gone before the sale starts and I have no desire to be on a wait list. Christmas is about instant gratification LOL not waiting on a list.

Hey ladies! Moo, great to see you here  How are you doing?

The kids are what makes Christmas really fun! Since we don't have any, we just do a few decorations and a full spread dinner. Kev usually makes a prime rib for Christmas Dinner :)

I'm doing OK. My recovery is going slower then I could have imagined. But after two surgeries they say they got all the cancer. This was good because if they had to go back in a 3rd time I would have to have had a double mastectomy. I started radiation last week. Yesterday made my 6th treatment. They off closed on Thursday and Friday last week so it was a nice break, but I am already really tired of driving back and forth to town every day for a 10 minute treatment.

I disagree Bov, I don't think the kids make Christmas fun, I love Christmas with or without them.

That is a great idea Moo!! I'm sure whatever you decide, she will love it! :) Seeing you here just made my night!!! :) <3

She stayed home from school yesterday and drove to town with me for radiation. One good thing came out of the 40 minute drive there, I got some ideas for Christmas :p but I think I will still open a checking account for her, time she learns how to use one.

Chatting with you made my day.

Praise the Lord!! I know this is a difficult road for you and your family, but I'm so glad to know that you are moving forward, one day at a time! Take time to take special care of yourself.

Mark, sounds like the cabin will be great once you get the work done :)

Afternoon Fran, Tracy and all!

Got an email tonight with bogus return address, for the fraudulent order.

Look up "call tag scam".

Tomorrow I'm bringing the pc to a local apple store, to get the charge back processed, not sure who to report this to. Old cc number has already been canceled, as of last night.

Thanks for the link, Bov!

Be careful with PP too. Colleague's wife had her account compromised somehow, they changed the nominal residence to a place in NYC. They then did something to flood her ISP, so PP messages questioning whether account changes were valid were blocked as spam. This happened while she was on the phone with them, too -- e-mail did not go through. Net, handful of items fraudulently bought against her account, shipped to a place hundreds of miles from where we live.

Oh Mark that's horrible! It is a great fear of mine. I've had PP send an email which alarmed me a few months back, I immediately contacted the cc company to make sure everything was alright. Thankfully it was. I then forwarded the email to PP asking if it was legit but never heard anything back from them.

I really do not like making online purchases, and rarely do so.

I don't lose sleep over it, though it's annoying.

I use two Visa cards, one for pretty much only online, one for carrying. Never had an issue for years, yet had to get new numbers for my online card in the past year -- luck of the draw :)

Be careful in checking statements (I do all that stuff online). The CC companies are pretty decent about things, if you're faintly proactive, let them know if something's off. This call tag scam bit is something the CC firms don't pick up in their automatic monitoring, since it looks like a clean purchase, by me, for me.

I had my cc alerts set to send me an email every time my card was used, even if it was just for 1 cent. That way I was right on top of it when mine got jacked. I use a prepaid card online now tho.

Lol Fran! I am usually up in the mornings, just have to check tech emails and other stuff before I swing over here. I used to me an early riser, but over the years I have migrated to going to bed around 3am and getting up around 10am. I usually veg in front of the NatGeo channel or Discovery in the wee hours, since those are the only hours I don't have mil yapping in my ear ;)

I agree Moo ,I just love Christmas...........

It's my favorite time of year and always has been. I think my best Christmas' were the first few years I was with Chris before there were children. We started a tradition of having wonderful Christmas Dinner Parties with friends and family at my house and I always cook a lasagna. And then having the same people over the next morning for a Christmas brunch. Then a few years after this tradition took hold, my daughter was born on Christmas Eve, the only Christmas eve I have ever missed since the tradition started. So the Christmas Eve gathering has changed from a Christmas Eve dinner to Birthday party. But the only two things that have really changed is there is now a birthday cake and we have a very strict rule that no presents are to be exchanged that night, only birthday presents for Alexis that night.
