See if you get the fake rma email now. On mine the writing was good, but not quite corporate, and the address on the usps "rma" label attached to the email was a residence in fl (might be a dead drop).

Mark the ups label said it came from Processing Center, but also had a 800# and it had come from Tiger Direct. I called them and they gave the last four on the cc and e-mailed me the return label. I called Discover and they said they'll remove the charges.

Do I have any electronic peeps here? My TV won't switch to DVD mode. I press the bottom and it goes to Video 2 which is a total blue screen. I press the button again to bring up Video 1 which should also be blue until I put a movie in. Video 1 is blue for a second and then switches to TV but in Black and white. Press the button again and it's back to TV. I can't play a DVD cause it won't stay in DVD mode (Blue screen). Anybody got a clue?
I should add all the wires are on and tight,no breaks.

Did you try physically unplugging and replugging the cable? Also, if you have two ports of the same type, try moving the DVD input to another port on the TV, to see if the problem tracks with the cable being moved. If the problem tracks with the cable being moved to another TV input, next step is try swapping to a different cable; if the problem still persists, then it's likely the DVD output gone bad.

It will ikely work fine, just that you won't get the full HD resolution (although the box and/or TV may well resample to properly fit your screen, the underlying imagery will be lower definition).

I'd plug it in, but let DirecTV you want to get an HD box in whenever it's convenient.
