We got a nothing special under 1k gel memory foam bed. It has a 10 year warranty and we'll use it if need be. Right now it seems to be working well.

I like the sound of the gel beds. Also the tempur pedic- I would LOVE to have one of those beds that you can raise & lower your head & knees. I'd spend all day it ...Probably get even less work done around here!

I felt dirty just laying on those beds at the mall - with the sales man standing next to me with the remote asking me "How is that now? Good for you? Let me tweak it...Like it now?"
Argg.. I just kept wanting to giggle & tell him he was a littttle bit creepy!

My sleep number is Seventy...... 'cause it's right after Sixty .... !!!

Nope, can't do it... won't say it... wouldn't be prudent.

So we went from cockleberries to cockle burs and now monkey balls? Where is this going?
I have a memory foam mattress but unfortunately it has Alzheimer. Fran I got this cool back brace I picked up at Fred Meyers I think but it has laces in the back and when you pull on this ring it tightens it up and forms it to your back shape. I love it. I only wear it when my back goes out which BTW is more often than the dog.

Well, you and mod both have many friends here that care about you both :)

You are so sweet to say that, Salem.

That has happened to me before. I hate the emissions test!
Also, I've been told I have tons of oil leaks & a dirty throttle.
The mechanic said that the oil leaks were "normal" for my old Jeep - the dealer wanted lots of $$ to fix them all - but my sweet old auto repair shop guy said not to worry about it.
Then he cleaned my throttle (whatever that is...) and now it's clean.

They're slowly phasing out emissions testing I've read. I will be so happy!

I don't know what a throttle is either, but I'm sure it's probably best to have a clean one.

And Happy Saturday everyone!
Fran, you're making me want to go bed shopping!
Our new bed is only 2 years old & was expensive, but we already hate it. They sure don't last...

Thats exactly what we went through too, Teta. After going through 3 beds in 2 years, the guy at the bed store talked us into a Tempurpedic and we are both so glad that he did.

They don't make beds like they use to. The no flip design made it so that they don't have to put as much filling in the bed and now they just suck!

Make sure that you read the warranty closely. There are things that will void like not having a certain number of support slats under it, no mattress protector (so they can resell as new IMO lol) etc.. We had ours replaced 3 times under warranty and finally, thankfully got our beloved Tempurpedic.

I have one that is something like that. I had to go to an orthopaedist and be fitted for it. It is a life saver some days. It keeps my back perfectly straight and also keeps me from bending or twisting in ways that I will pay dearly for. Beats the heck out of a fusion though. (for my spine, not carto)
