Afternoon :) Sdh, the bottle towers look pretty neat! It's beautiful here today, but we're supposed to get rain/snow tomorrow.

Our local paper has the whole ugly story about Saturday night. Wow, it's amazing how stupid a drunk can get. He spit on one of the officers, and insisted that his name was Satan. The judge upped his bail to $150,500 yesterday. His next court date is March 27th, 3 felony charges and 4 misdemeanors.

Oooooo, very cool bottle tower!!! I like the idea of rain gutters for strawberries too. Keeping them contained neatly. Wow, when the growing season gets underway, I'd love to see some pictures! :)
I will have to take some this year. I am trying to find some rain gutters. I wanted some used ones. I might have to break down and buy a few vinyl ones. I am trying to get into homesteading. I also need to save the 2L bottles now.

Hopefully, he will get some time. Sometimes, it does straighten people out. Enjoy your freedom Bov!

I hope you don't get much snow Sdh...it's a drag to start planning your spring garden and then get hammered with snow.
I won't be setting out the vegies until 3rd week of May. I do plan on some cool season vegies tho. Right now I informed the dh not to throw out 2L bottles. I have my evil plans to carry out. :)

That bottle system is really neat! I love how the sand filters out impurities. Who wouldda thunk it? ;)

I bookmarked that link too!
I do have plenty of garden space. However, this sounds really cool for vegetables that my resident rabbits love. I can adapt this to be set above ground (2 feet) and follow the same guidelines. I do have a problem with rabbits and woodchucks.

Holy buckets! I just looked at the weather channel...that winter storm is coming to us :( Ahh well, I need the exercise lol

Time to get out the little pink boots and little pink snow shovel and little pink coat and hat and get out there and have fun!!!

We don't get to have that kind of fun down here in East Texas.

Dang we got a regular monsoon going on out there....I saw earlier a low pressure system was forming over us...Forecast today was snow....Thankfully it didn't!!!!!!

We got Greenies, propane and that dang hearing aid sent in for service today....Spike loves him some Greenies.....

Cold frame tip of the day....Make sure your cold frame has a Southern exposure....The sun is rising outta the Southern hemisphere this time of year...Heck I even point my doghouse door South...No cold wind blowing in that way...

My cold frame is made outta old wooden frame house windows and rough cut 2X12 lumber{untreated}...I got the windows hinged to the high side. That way I can prop or fully open them quickly...Usually I start my seeds to early and they hit the glass in the cold frame...I keep promising myself I'll build a small greenhouse....I've got access too some heirloom variety seeds at a local store...Usually I just plant the old regular Southern varieties...Now with the GMO stuff I'm going old school....Maybe see what stuff is really supposed too taste like...
