The problem I always had about front end alignment is they always come back and say I need every part on the front suspension replaced before they can do it. Never fails. No matter how new the car was they figured they have some stupido that will give them a blank check to sell me everything to make money off of.
Then I found out from doing autobody that with a couple flashlights, a tape measure, and tools I could get it close enough myself to keep the tires from being ripped up and to steer properly.

Five I fixed one a couple of years back that required some front end parts be replaced..When in the alignment shop the tech asked how I'd gotten it set so close...Well I measured it...I do have a camber/caster guage but it requires a known number...That one I scribed the tires and measured with the tram...Toe set!!

I lived in Fayetteville for a few years...Sears had a sale on BFs...I pulled my trusty Toyota 4X4 into my shop and had a friend work the steering and suspension whilst I watched..I figured on Sears using thier state of the art equipment and aligning it while the new tires were added...If any front end parts were worn I as gonna replace them beforehand...Everything looked excellent with no worn parts and driving the Toyota indicated the same...I found a leaking brake cylinder on the left rear and had too place an order for the parts required...I went too sears for the tires and alignment the next day...As I waited the tech came in....Yepp the front end is almost completely worn out and it's gonna cost a bundle...I played along and asked the tech if he could show me...He tried some hocus pocus stuff and then I enlightened him. He probably should have noticed all the parts including the Toyota's knuckles were sporting fresh grease...he also missed the leaking wheel cylinder...My bet is they charge without replacing a damn thing...and that at best is dishonest...

We had some fine weather yesterday.....I was too dang busy for any numbers...It's cooler and rain is on the way...Everyone in my family....everyone at the junkyard and everyone at the farm are all at the beach...I've been running like a mad man keeping everything caught up...Bass turds could call and check on a brother....Just wait..... when they're all here and it warms up...East bound and down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moon, out of all the sports, I can handle MLB the easiest...I'm not a huge fan or follower of any type of sports tho.

Well I got a surprise this morning, MIL handed me her Discover card and told me to go get the tires and front end done on my car...I 'bout near fainted! Then I got another nice surprise at the tire store, they didn't try to rip me off with claims of parts needing to be replaced! My rear tires are not that bad, and the tire guy agreed that they didn't need to be replaced yet, so I got out of there for under $250 :) Half of which I've already repaid to my MIL.

Another letter from AH today. He's asking for $25 a week for commissary, which his mom has agreed to do for him. He also said that he's pretty sure he'll pull prison time, just not sure how much. I'm guessing his public defender has already told him that there is not much in the way of plea deals for him, and all 3 of his felonies carry mandatory minimums.

Thanks ladies! It's good to know I can breathe easier at least for now. No more hiding behind a locked door or making sure my cell phone is within reach. It almost feels selfish to say that I can focus on me and the things (and people) I love for a change!

Now I just need a sweet talker...oh wait...I have a secret admirer that can do that ;)
