I changed up my coconut mint recipe and I like this one better. Mist in the Woods sent me a bottle of TPA Creme de Mint ages ago and I've only tried it once or twice, so it got allocated to the back of the flavor cabinet. That's when I was mixing everything at 20%.

I mixed this new recipe to a total of 10% flavoring. 80% coconut / 20% sweet cream / 5 drops per 15ml of the Creme de Mint = YUM :)

Put my window ac in today. Took the housing off and cleaned it real good first. Was fun trying to balance it in a 2nd story window without any help, but got it done. Was going to turn it on a little bit ago but MIL gave me the stink eye.

Ha, ha! Bov, that picture is great at describing what the stink eye looks like! I think that we all have a pretty good mental picture of MIL :)

I make a mix of Peppermint, Coconut and Vanilla that is pretty darn tasty. Never thought of trying it with the Sweet Cream. I will have to try it some time.

Five if you don't eat your beets you can't have any dessert....

LD I grew up hearing that. We had to eat them anyway but always held our nose plugged to do so.
Ha 5c, I like pickled beets...not so sure about the eggs tho.

Ya Bo pickled beets aren't bad. Same with pickled cauliflower but the 2 in their natural state belong in the trash. Yuk.

I forgot to turn off my PV today and felt it getting pretty warm in my pocket so I pulled it out and it ruined my swivel drip tip. I said to myself "Sure stupid, install an on/off switch and then don't use it" My stupidity amazes me sometimes.

You are going to love this. I sent my IPro in for a new PCB. Well it dawned on me tonight while watching a movie that I sent the wrong one. I sent a perfectly good IPro in for a PCB. Now I can't get any dumber than that.

We just have to be related to each other 5Card!!!

Yesterday I went to town and bought a new battery for my tractor.

The guy asked me if I had an old battery so he could give me the money for it ...

I said I did but I forgot to bring it and would drop it off in a day or two.

When I got home I looked in the back of my truck and there was the old worn out battery right where I had put it .... before I went to town to buy the new battery.

Now I have to drive 25 miles to take him the old battery that I could have just given to him while I was buying the new one.

Duh ...

TT

I like cauliflower too wharf! Raw or steamed with butter and salt. Yummmmm! I like a lot of vegetables that most do not. Spinach (drowned in tarragon vinegar) , Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli. But I can't stand cooked carrots, lima beans, succotash, or peas. Go figure!

I like them too but not cauliflower, BEETS, Okra, and the peas have to be fresh not the mushy canned peas. Spinach with vinegar or swiss chard are great too. Lima beans and cooked carrots don't bother me either. I used to eat salad every night at dinner time but me and the Dr. figured it was a problem for my digestive tract so I don't have it that much any more.

Five if you don't eat your beets you can't have any dessert....

20oz cup full of Mocha Nut Fudge....1 pack Stevia...1 strong dose Sweet Italian Creme....Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now a little story to make you smile....A few years back I received word that a particular person had been talking rather unfavorably behind my back...I'd done nothing to him and he was only a friend of a friend...I barely knew him....What he said I did and to whom I did it...Heck I didn't know them either....Last week while in the steel mill he walks into the office as I'm placing my order...He works there now...I'd no idea....He spoke...I spoke and on down the road we went....Today I had my order cut so I would not have 20 foot sections to haul down the road...He came over as his co-worker made the cuts for me...He did his best to ignore me and was a little surprised when he glanced my way and I was inches from him....I looked him dead in the eyes as I made casual conversation...That azz whooping he was gonna give me....Well he musta' forgot....Meanwhile I'm down the road again....Smiling this time....Loser.....

Man I tell you it rained like a cow pizzing on a flat rock most of the morning...The pond was full last week....the creek is approaching stream status...large pools of water are everywhere...Sooner or later the sun has got to come out...Temps Sunday were the average for March 2.....and they haven't risen either...Spring has come to a grinding halt....

In another thread some Washingtonians were talking about their 90 degree heat, it's cool and rainy in the SE and last week Arkansas had their first ever recorded May snow. Unusual weather we are having.

I love just about any veggie you put in front of me...except bell peppers. And 5'er, you aren't dumb, we just all share the same condition known as CRS!

I was fit to be tied when I woke this morn to yet another episode of Chase barfing up forbidden people food all over my bed! Told MIL that she is not to give him one more bite of people food, cheap ... dog treats, nothing...nada! When she started to get ......, I just reminded her that Chase is the one who suffers, I know she loves him, but we can't love him to death. She seemed ok with that, but I also know that she'll sneak him bites when she knows I'm upstairs working :( Needless to say, Katie got my version of stink eye today!

And my ac is on today...take that, electric bill!

Taking a break from tilling the garden! Oh, my what a mess I have. I have low blood pressure so I have to take it easy in the heat...

I admit I have CRS syndrome! I can go shopping prepared with my shopping list. I still forget items....of course it would help if I actually carried the list inside the store. :)

My mom was notorious for feeding bro & SIL dog- food scraps. They asked her nicely not to do it. She told me she would do it. I tried to explain that some foods could cause distress. She said she could not stop.

I have a cat that cannot eat tuna. I use to give our Maine .... cat a taste and he was okay The boy scooter cannot handle it and I don't feel like cleaning up after him...so yes, even cats need to follow some sort of dietary regime. They get canned cat food and dry kibble...I don't change their kibble. For some reason they like cheap cat food. I did adopt the cats from a farm... Anyway, I tried the expensive and the cheap. The cats will only eat Whiskas. I have given away so much cat food the first year. I thought they would eat science diet...but no they want junk food. My cats go crazy if hubs has a granola protein bar. He has to share or the cats get wicked.

Got to go back to tilling...you guys have a great afternoon.

Sorry poor Chase got sick Bov! My Dad learned the hard way about feeding dogs people food. The vet warned and warned him to stop, but he couldn't either. Those poor dogs were so overweight in their older age he had to carry them out to do their business then back in again. They also had terrible skin allergies from it. Tell Katie she should no more give dogs people food than she would like to eat dog food! Dog foods are specifically made to meet their requirements. I know that'll probably fall upon deaf ears, but maybe if you put it to her that way...(?) It didn't help my Dad though so who knows.

Sdh, I'm planning to get some flowers this weekend to plant on my front porch. I hung out my flag this morning so we will see how it goes. I need to also get a large bag or two of black mulch for out back around the pond, and I need to repot two water plants. Man, I feel like I am so far behind already this year!!! I better crack the whip and get moving!
A friend of mine just got a job at a local green house and asked if I would like any veggie plants or herbs. (No, not that kind Mod! ;) ) I said of course, so we will see what I end up with!!

Tracy:Tomato's are very easy to take care of...I plant wildflowers for the bee's. One cannot have a vegie garden without those glorious bees. I seen a turtle for the first time ever...at least since I lived in this house (20y). I did take a photo. He/she is gone now. I was afraid my cat would dine on it..so he had to go back into the house. It has orange on the shell. Anyone know what type?

Gee Sdh, I tried looking it up for you and I suppose it could be a number of turtles as I saw at least 3 mentioned with orange on them. An Eastern Box Turtle was one, Florida red bellied cooter, or Indiana Turtles. I have baby red eared sliders and they have red to yellow markings on their shells, one is so in between it looks orange to me.

My ex used to garden. He always had tomatoes, cukes, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and peppers. A few times he grew watermellon, pumpkins, eggplants, basil, sunflowers.

I am going to plant (my fave) new guinea imaptients in hanging baskets (2) on the front porch, and usually plant petunias, vinca vine and sweet potato vine in the 2 window boxes. Out back I am debating on either celosia for my concrete planters, or else these spiky center plants with something colorful like coleus around the border. I really like celosia, but if I remember correctly they didn't do so hot a couple of years ago. The spiky thing (draceana I think) and coleus are probably a better bet. Mosquitoes hate marigolds so I might put a few in pots behind our canopy where we hang out.
