Good morning gang!

Hope everyone is doing well and Tracy, I sure do hope you are feeling a LOT better! I hate it when my honey girls aren't feeling good.

We're supposed to have severe storms moving through Yeast Texas (the home of every yeast, mold and fungus known to man) this afternoon. I'm going to go out and make sure my generator is all ready to go and since we're on a well, I need to run some water in tanks for flushing if we lose power. We lose power with three drops of rain or if the carnival comes to town.

We had a thunderstorm come thru about an hour ago with quarter size hail. I went out and moved my precious pot of moon flowers up next to the house, but I just watched out the door as my car get pelted. Sure am glad the hail didn't get any bigger. I don't mind the little dings in the body, happy that I don't have to replace any of the windows! This is CT dammit!!

We heard thunder twice this morning and the wind came up a bit. I thought it was going to pour but the sun came out instead and we ending up with a hot and muggy 80 degrees. Then this afternoon we heard another 2 thunder claps, wind came up a little and poof it went away. We're still under threat of T-storms until Friday but haven't got a drop of rain yet.

Hot here in Jersey!!! Was 84 yesterday, and will be 88 today. AC is running as I type this. No ac's in bedrooms yet though, makes for uncomfy sleeping.

Rain in forecast for later today through the next few days, then a decent weekend!

Got my succulents all planted...I have always loved them so this year I said, "they're cheap enough, why not plant some?"

I'm also planting a couple of terrariums with houseplants. My Dad's birthday is coming up, and I inherited my love of fishkeeping and plant loving from him so one of those terrariums will have his name on it! He lit up like a Christmas tree yesterday when I showed up unannounced with a big old hanging basket of flowers, the first of the season for him. I was careful not to get too close, or stay too long bc of that stomach bug I had.

    Good morning Lilac!

I get that too, and it IS allergies for me. They make 2 wonderful products for that, and both help me alot. One is Visine brand in a bottle with green on the label instead of red, and the other is Similasan brand Irritated Eye Relief (100% natural). I get both at my local food shopping store, so no health food store required.

Well, it is majorly annoying, Tracy. I have some eye drops an optometrist gave me, but I am almost out of those. Thanks for the info. I will be looking for those eye drops.

Yep Lilac, allergy symptoms are different for different people. I get goopy, scratchy eyes and a stopped up head. Others might get the runny nose and itchy eyes. Either way, the Visine Tracy mentioned helps my eyes. I have a script for Nasonex for my stuffy head. If I used it all the time it would keep me from getting stuffy in the first place, but it irritates my nasal passages if I use it for more than a couple of days in a row. 'Tis the season lol

    Morning all!

It's that time of the month....The Direct TV bill is due....Yeah you've heard me .....ing about it for at least the last six months....I log on to pay expecting it to be @$100....Mind you it should be $88 but that requires a war each month...Get this...$194 and some change....One month....Homicidal at this point.....I'm gonna cool down before I call....that should take @ six months....

Again I sing the praises of local honey...It's gotta come from local...Off the shelf stuff??? If it's not synthetic it's filtered and the goodie is gone...Trust that I'm outside each and every day...My sinuses are a wreck waiting......I take a tablespoon of local honey daily...My sinus issues have all but disappeared....even thru the pollen looks like smoke time of the year...The benefits don't stop there either...It's good for what ails Yahh....

I'm not even sure where to get local honey, Dee. Our farmers market hasn't started up yet.

I'm still miffed that the feed store quit selling PG, and now that's one more thing I have to order on line and have to pay shipping for. I'll have to look into other feed stores that might be semi local to me. $4 for gas to drive there, or $5 shipping to order....it's a toss up.

After last night's thunderstorms, I had to pull my window ac out and reset it. Didn't have it at the right angle to drain out and had a water mess to deal with. A couple of short 1-by's and a few skint knuckles later, I finally have it in right. Sure would be handy to have a helping hand from time to time, next I get to argue with the MIL's window ac. Would sure suck to lose my grip and drop one of them out the upstairs window :glare:

Our storms yesterday turned out to be a non-event. So this morning I cheerfully went outside and un-did (is that a word???) all my preparations. And didn't mind it a bit. Not having severe weather and still having electricity made it all worthwhile.

Thousand of people to the north and south of us lost power, but not through our immediate area. We did get some nice rain though and that's appreciated!

Lilac, I'm sorry to hear your eye is bothering you. Hope you feel better real quick.

And Tracy, that was such a nice thing you did for your dad with the plant you took him. You're precious and I know he appreciated it!

Hey El Dee, that is insane ... that much money for one month of television. I have Dish, and while they aren't perfect they've never done anything like that to us!! Tear them up!!!

And my sweet Bov ... I don't know what to say. How about I just say I hope you have a fun and easy day! Will that do? LOL!

Fran, glad you finally got some rain ... you sure don't need a drought up there! And Mark, have fun working inside today. Hope its a productive day for you.

    Lubs and Hugs to all!

    TT
